I learned , the sale cycle: 1. pre order (ex: the apple customer waiting for the new iPhone to drop) 2. the me too customer ( the trend follower) 3. standard retail (having the simple/daily accessible merchandise in your inventory) 4. Antique buyers (demand for limited edition items no longer accessible) Having a "hook"/ using video: 1. why should people watch the video 2.focus on analytic duration (how long are people watching your videos) 3. if its not adding value to the video remove it increasing demand with a waitlist( digital orders), and finally that marketing is about sharing your story to generate leads. thanks for sharing, you guys are awesome ❤

Biggest piece of info I learned that hit me the hardest: “People overestimate what they can do in 6 months and underestimate what they can do in 3 years” What I take away from that is I must play the long game. Trust the process and see everything through regardless of anything, just keep the vision activated. #ControlYours

Hey all, C.J. @ Planar Press here. The distinction between marketing to create a market & then sales = selling to that curated market was a huge revelation. Can't wait to implement that. Also the 5 types of customers listed is an interesting way to target specific strategies instead of firing into the dark. Great stuff!

Firstly, I learned more in this 30min video about the "types of consumers" than I learned in four years in business school! I knew the importance of the pre-sale method, however, after attempting a few times (using the tips yall provided in previous videos), it's easy to become defeated and abandon the entire process. However, learning that this method/customer types accounts for 40% of your sales, it's no mystery why those who have mastered this also have high engagement on social media AND consistent sales. I'm not giving up though! Thanks for this jewel! #FreeYourLenz

What I learned in this video is there's 5 different ways to market 5 different customers. Pre-orders haven't worked for me when I've done them a couple of times but James inspired me to do an early access/pre-order method for these new acid wash shorts I am dropping later this month. This will lead to the second type of customers to want it more and then inspire the third type of consumers to buy when we officially drop.

I learned that you should always know the type of audience that you want to sell to.Remember that your business is a reflection of you. Make prices reasonable & think about the consumer. If you wouldn't spend that amount, then don't expect the majority to spend that amount. Test products with pre-orders to see if it actually sells. Stealing market share will it will attract & retain customers from a competitor. It will also attract & retain more customers than it loses to competitors. Small businesses have an advantage because we're able to sell ourselves to the customer, which creates a personal experience with the customer, unlike the bigger brands. Ex. Thank you cards Sale cycles/Types of consumers: pre-order,me too consumers, standard retail, referral customer, antique buyers These are also categories to create content with.

I learnt about the different types of customers. I started my brand after my dad passing and my story is all about trying to find the positive in a tough situation. I want to spread positivity as much as I can and let people know that everything will be ok and that everyone has it in themselves to keep pushing and keep working towards their dreams. I’ve had my online store for almost two years and I noticed that it wasn’t doing as well as it did when I just started. I then found you guys and you have helped me a lot. And in this video directing my product to these different types of customers is really going to help. Also having the limited stock when its gone its gone. Creating that sense of exclusivity will help get people to buy. Its definitely something im going to use in my next drop. Thanks so much for everything you guys have done. You are really helping so many people and it’s mind blowing

My mom recently passed, as well. I too am starting a brand that's focused on her positivity, and I want to spread that positivity around to other people. I'm hoping once I launch my brand, it'll spread like wildfire.
