I don't own a yacht. I agree that Blender isn't the best at natural fracturing, but there are some great addons for it.

Thanks! It’s quick and dirty. A specialist riigger would give a dedicated animator way more controls, but this worked for what I’d needed 😁

Blender is a really cool school I just got an RTX card and it takes something that would have taken 4 minutes and brings it down to a 30-second or 40 seconds of rendering time

That was pretty dope, especially considering it was all done within a week! Only thing that bugs me is the smoke rising up as if it's emitting from a flame 😁 Then again, I always take a million interations to get simulations to look halfway decent, and you only had a week, so...kudos 😉🤘🏻

Thanks! Yeah, I decided to push it anyway. The smoke bugged me and warrants a redo on that pass, but it’s YT, so I have to move on lol. All in all it was like 12 hours total minus sim and render time, so less than a work week. Thanks!!

I use houdini always time but i want to learn blender for modeling. Do i? Because Houdini is hard to model and needs more research and not as exact to the thought.

Blender is great for modeling organic stuff but it’s still not procedural. It’s a nice tool to know and helps if you’re already using Houdini. You’d pick it up quickly, so I would just to have it for an alternative if you want it.

Houdini is a beast but if you take it slow, don’t take yourself too seriously when you don’t understand something, give yourself time, it will open up to you. Be patient and you may have less fear 😀
