HOW TO: Moisturize Natural Straight Hair Without Reversion UPDATED | Heat Training Hair

Hola homies! Here's an update on how to moisturize straight natural hair without reversion! Since I uploaded a video a couple of years ago on how to moisturize straight natural hair without reversion, I've been on the hunt to find another great moisturizer for straight hair that won't cause it to revert. The great thing about the ORS Hair Fertilizer is that it's another product that I've been using since i was a kid, so it's one of my staple heat trained hair products I swear by! I bought the fertilizer after I've watched the video and hunny, the moisture it gives is too good to be true. I put it in before I wrapped my hair and It doesn't weight my hair down and no reversion. Thank you thank you thank you, Im very happy.

I also love Waterless to moisturize my straight hair. The conditioning balm and dry conditioner. Also love Eva Nyc 15 in 1 primer to moisturize everyday.

Cool! I was just looking at your old moisturizing videos. I picked up the Mizani rose h2o and it didn't moisturize my hair at all and the smell was way too much. Luckily i was able to return it. I ended up buying Giovanni direct leave in and O-M-G! That stuff literally transformed my 4b natural hair it feels so soft!! It's been out for a very long time but somehow I missed it. Unfortunately, it will definitely revert straightened hair. I just can't win, lol.

Wow! I can't believe the Mizani didn't moisturize your hair!? I haven't heard that from anyone before, but I know the smell is off putting for a lot of people. I'm glad you were able to return it and get something you like! I def need to try the Giovanni product that transformed your hair!!

@@sierralafaye it works! I put it on before wrapping my hair. I’ve used it twice so far and topped it with a little lemon grass jbco ! It has water in it but doesn’t revert my hair. It’s sorcery 🤣🧝🏾‍♀️ thanks for the info! ❤️

This was so helpful, thank you! Could you link the paddle brush you use? In my experience, a lot of brushes don't have flexible bristles and they can break your hair off easily. That one seemed to glide through your hair effortlessly..

You actually want to have some water in a moisturizing product because it's the ingredient that actually moisturizes your hair, but I've never experienced reversion with this product!

I was worried that a water based product would make my hair revert. I saw the ORS hair fertilizer has water as the first ingredient. Does this mean I can use any water based moisturizer, as long as I use a little bit?

In my opinion not all water based moistures work the same; some that I tried still reverted my hair although I only used a little so it just depends on the product

this is crazy! I dont believe you can moisturize without reversion! well not me! but at the same time I think your hair being heat trained has to do with it too.

I would def give it a try 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’ve tried plenty of moisturizers that have reverted my hair instantly as I put it on. I’ve heard other say they’ve used the mizani moisturizer and didn’t experience any reversion either. But like you said, it depends on your hair type and figuring out what works best for you!

Only this and the Mizani Rose H20 cream are what I’ve tried that I noticed didn’t revert my hair

You can def use oil on top of a moisturizer and it will seal that moisture you put on your hair and won't revert it!
