How to Mount a TV on the Wall - Beginner DIY

In this video we mount a 32" TV onto the wall using a wall mount bracket with extendable arms and tilt mechanism. This project is a very straight forward DIY install, however, if you are mounting a larger and heavier TV you will want to have two people involved for the final placement of the TV to avoid damaging the television. Always refer to the specific TV installation instructions for wall mounting, as there could be slight variations for install of one TV vs another.

I have a corner electric fireplace that creates a big triangle shelf that I dislike. I'd love to wall it up to the ceiling and put in a more modern FP. I can't stand the hanging cords, can an outlet be placed behind the TV to avoid that?

An outlet could be placed behind the TV, or alternatively the wire can be run inside of the wall with a hole behind the tv for the wire to enter and a hole by the outlet for the wire to exit.

The issue i have is the space between the wall and the tv. For example, i can't use the AV color cables to connect my N64 because the jacks on back of tv are facing the wall and there's no space because of the length to the AV cables (Red, White & Yellow) even the antena cable is slightly bent because of lack of space. The Spacer's my mount came with aren't enough, how can I add morel space for those AV cables? My mount is a still mount, not an adjustable/tilt mount.

I would recommend the quick and relatively inexpensive upgrade to an extendable mount. This would be an easy way to give those cables the space, and you'll benefit from the range of motion should you need it.
