Great game @FreePete, per usual. Also, props for posting losses. I posted this in a conversation we had earlier, but think you missed it (and I dont have Twitch to ask more directly). I'd love to hear your thoughts... For context, we were discussing the game wherein you heard that another player was streaming, _confirmed that they were,_ and immediately quit. @FreePete Ah! Either you or I have a misconception of 'sniping.' _I_ have always understood it to mean "gaining an advantage by viewing another player's screen while you're in the same game." By _my_ understanding you would not have been 'sniping' if you continued playing _as long as you were not simultaneously watching his stream._ For clarity (and because I know we're both lovers of nuance 😁): an arguement could be made in a game with fog that even momentarily seeing the other person's screen (as you seemingly did while verifying) would have given you an advantage, and therefore continuing to play (even without continuing to watch their screen) _would_ constitute 'sniping' (by my definition). Either way though, _had you never verified that they were live you would have been both Playing Fair (by SMG's definition) and _*_not_*_ sniping (by my definition)._ SMG's definition is obtuse - even if you had kept watching their stream, _even if you had been in their chat_ (assuming you weren't colluding there) *how would that have given either of you an advantage over the other players?????* 🤦🏾‍♂️

I don't find their definition obtuse. I understand it completely and it's broad. The rule as written doesn't care whether you use the outside means of communication, merely that you have one. And in this case I did. That's enough for me. It's simply not worth it for me to risk getting my account banned.

Yeah this is a situation where intent didn't actually matter, the only thing that mattered was opportunity. Pete made the correct choice to concede the game simply for his own safety, no reason to take a risk for any single game

Fascinating game. The lesson for me was: 1. Red started strong with Orient. 2. Purple stole red’s cap even though red had started strongly. The conclusion has to be that red didn’t have enough troops on their capital. Which means that red must have pushed into west Africa. Which means that red kill miss was predictable. Maybe I’m reasoning with the benefit of hindsight, but I really think this was possible to work out in game. Really interesting.

100% a hindsight advantage, it doesn't make sense to assume your enemies are playing sub-optimally.

@@xavierxavier8541 Point is reds troops went somewhere if they didn’t guard their cap. Where else could they be?

Should have put all troops on cap and used that to go down thru greece, would have had enough troops for purple, red, then blue, easy win

I think we see both outs so often because people don't notice they are playing a caps game. They don't sort the search and join a game thinking world Dom on a fun map. Or map they have never played. Then go to place troops and nope not troops its a cap they just placed (also explains horrible caps sometimes) then they realize it's a cap and they immediately quit.

How do I report a player? Esp in fast finish? Last 3 in Brazil. Black trades and fortifies. Doesn't offline, but doesn't attack for 4turns, Neither of actives can take , until suddenly suicides and hands me over for third. Collab? How do I find their name and report?

Unfortunately there is no system to report once the game has ended. You have to do so in-game

I don't play progressive card but i do think the italy/north africa position in sicilly would have been a great start. Sure, red most likly fucks with you but you kinda need a bonus early on and a better cap for progressive right? Russia cap was awful imo
