Poison build and crit one shot builds are sweet. Just finished my NG+ and the mvp for me is iron staff, bull king, spell binder (max mana through spirit, curios, and mana potion) then switch to all def providing gear. Keep a revival potion on hot key, and you have x3 tries to get the job done. I smoked Erlang and the broken shell first try on my ng+ Don’t get to see the hugeee numbers I was getting with four focus point pluck of many, but for bosses with multiple phases you become an undying god. Oh there’s also a soak you can equip that when you come back from dying you get all of your gourd uses. So yeah…nothing compares to this in my opinion when it comes to sustainable damage.

Take off non able and add everything that adds mana so it's maxed out as much as possible then use spell binder then switch back to your other gear. Even though you lose the mana bonus taking those off you keep the damage buff from the mana spent and use other curios and non able for those bonuses. On average do more than 350+ damage with huge crit.

For those wondering how to build a spell binder i recommend not worrying to much abt mana outside of stat trees since the mana to attack ratio isnt all that amazing nd ur better off using a spirit like non able or evwn verdant spirit with centipede armor for hp regen, for curios crit is king ofc, spider celestial staff or kang jin for mid game, jingubang endgame and either jingubang or adept spine shooting staff for ng+ work wonders

Can't you just switch out the spirit before casting spellbinder? I think it doesn't care how much mana you have after you've cast it. I equip wukong head piece gore eyed daoist and 3 thunderflame seals to cast spellbinder then switchback to whatever I was using.

@nightmaresenpai7930 u can if ur tryna min max but gore eyed spirit only give 15 mana if i recall which is barely any dmg increase, also i was a bit lazy witg my spellbinder run and kept initiating combat b4 i remembered to switch so just stuck with either verdant or non able(the 100 less mana barely dents the attack buff for some reason😂)

I wanna make a pure Sun Wukong build. Basically, an all-around high damage build, using that crit build you mentioned and tweaking it to have less crit chance and damage and lean into the spells you have during the game's opening more

Current Build for me is Full golden gear, fuban staff, amber prayer beeds, birthstone Fragment, 3 cat eye beeds, Sunset of the Nine skies with 3 Tiger relics. Without medicines you‘re Talking 55% for Spin To win and 70% with the cascade(without medcine still). Get the frog back in 20 seconds, Combine with immobilize and the Fan for infinite uptime on both. You can also use the bat or the falcon for the freeze. I personally prefer the Falcon Spirit. Edit: I might suggest removing the 3 cat eye beeds for 3 Beast Buddha if You’re mostly using cascade for much more damage(27% more crit damage). Also Equip all Transformation Skills that Mention any curse.

if your talking about ng+ builds the dark iron staff with either the WuKong set or the yaksha set with unified minds absolutely decimates enemies.

I like using the poison set with the iron staff but instead of defense curios, I use crit dmg buddha. You gain more damage from the crit percentage rather than relying on the flat ad.

The one shot build is amazing. My only complaint is having to constantly go back to your hub to craft the meds which take forever and you only get one at a time.

Celestial Birthstone Fragment is broken right now. It actually ignores your Four Banes Resistance too which causes more poison damage to yourself.

Try the crit chance with bull king armor and black iron staff for the extra massive damage.

Use non-able after activating spell binder since it adds a bit more crit chance and damage and attack.

It's a thrust stance skill. That's how to do it: light attack > heavy attack > wait 1-2 seconds > hold light attack

Your describing souls like and souls lite games, you can skip so many bosses in this game it's nuts, all the frogs are missable, transformation bosses are missable, you can run away from spirit bosses.
