How to open a microwave oven door stuck shut.
This doesn't fix the problem, but at least you can retrieve any food stuck inside!

No kidding. On the other hand, that latch is right next to the transformer and capacitor. So perhaps it is best people don't dig in there.

Worked great for me for a Hamilton Beach unit, but with one extra step. My unit had a lip curved under so a spatula would not readily fit, but I just cut away a small area of the lip with an exacto-knife to make access for the spatula and BINGO! We're in business. Thx for this clip :-)

I have been using a table knife actually right next to the info panel. Just between the door, and the buttons on the panel saves on the gasket and maybe the spatula. 😂

I think you will have to order a new latch. Once that plastic breaks, it is a gonner.
