Thanks for this! I just took my G305 apart, sanded the bottom plate and then put it back together and added Ceramic skates. Using it with a Artisan Shidenkai XSoft and it's incredible!

Thanks you for the video! My left mouse buttons looks like not seated properly and there is no double click or miss click issues but it feels uncomfortable when i click down. Extra travel distance and moving under my finger a bit. Is there a way to fix it? I've no warranty

@@Beardedbob Yup, both left and right click have double click issues since they are using 10M omron switches, planning to upgrade it with either the 50M omrons or huano blue shells.

Yep sure have. The feel more snappy and not a mushy but its very close. The new DM1 fps has huano switches, worth listing to it and comparing.

My g304 scroll wheel has become quite hard to scroll. It feels like there's some sticky gunk inside that prevents it from scrolling smoothly. Do you think I could fix it by opening the mouse up and cleaning the scroll wheel? Or is it busted and should probably buy a replacement scroll wheel?

I would pick it on the following basis, Size and thickness, this for me is the major factor. I mean yes you can get different textures but tbh its a subtle difference but for me, it hasn't made a noticeable difference it just takes some getting used to but the size and thickness I notice and will make or break a pad for me.

I don't see why not. It would take a little modification to the base to ensure it fits, but a lot of people are using the g305 insides in different shapes.

If your wheel is binding, it's because the rubber has expanded. Scrape some of the side with fine sandpaper. Be careful not to remove all the oil inside the wheel.

Hey, i just bought the mouse 2 days ago and after dropping it once the right button triggers too easily under the weight of my finger. :( Do you have an idea that could solve my problem? I was thinking of putting sticking some plastic or paper between the clicking mechanism and the button so more pressure would be required to trigger the button.

I was thinking the same. Glue isn't a bad idea but it could stop you from being able to tear it down later if you needed to again.

As like the final step. When I take it apart again I'll weight a screw and that will allow you to add up the weight you will save. usually, they are 0.2grams

You need to use a hairdryer to take them off. They can still be damaged after though so its always a risk. replacements for this are easy to get though. Another tip which i've not tired yet is to use lighter fluid.

damn son sounds like it took a wack. You can't take apart the black switch but what you can do is desolder it as its 3 pins and mount a new one on there. The switches can be bought online on ebay or Aliexpress 👍

Not Bluetooth but it will require the Logitech software which will install a driver for the wifi

the thumb buttons on my 305 don't work unless you smack them a bit which is really annoying. literally need to hit the mouse on the side at first use every time. so weird. after a few smacks it works fine. but after a few hours will need to smack them again haha. then today because of being annoyed at the problem happening again i guess i dislodged the mouse scroll wheel... thingy. now it just spins and doesn't do anything. blahhh i need a new mouse

Yes, people have done it on other mice. You will need to make sure the base on the G302 is big enough for the G305 PCB and then its down to saving the base and pcb and making it all fit. Its no easy task mind

Man this is the third mice that failed on me, logitech G302 - double click Corsair M65 pro RGB - scroll wheel/double click. And Im not even mashing it hard, just play a lot of csgo and apex.

@@Beardedbob not in the G304 (just bought it!) but in both my M705 and G102 they only lasted 7 months until they started double clicking. Kailh in my original anywhere MX lasts pretty long at 2 years. none of my Omron Japan has failed me yet

Hopefully, the G304 holds out for you sir. If it doesn't then I'll just assume you have a really fast trigger finger and you click 50m times within 7 months, and these switches just can't handle it. :-)

Incomplete teardown. Where is your ruthlessness!? X-D No disassembly of the mouse wheel or side buttons. Those were actually the only 2 things I needed to see torn down, so I am empty handed.

So on my unit the back-most side button is really mushy and I'd like to see detail around the assembly, housing and orientation relative to the button's switch to guide me as to how I could tighten it up. Potentially even substituting in the side buttons from a spare G102 which I have. I'm also interested in how hard it would be to swap out the middle mouse button with a similar model, such as the G Pro.

Yep, and repairing your own devices is so nice. A big problem with the gpro wireless that I have, is it develops a double clicking issue. I was able to take it apart, open the switch, bend the metal piece out a little, reassemble, and now it works like new. Keep in mind that I only did this because I bought it second hand for a really good price. So warranty didn't apply to me anymore.
