i like this video. also struggling with it. Saving and being thrifty is natural not only automatic to me.. Despite how much i earn and i have, i still save and not fall to lavish lifestyle. Enjoying money from time to time but reminding myself not to be a slave of it

I have poverty trauma, different from poverty mindset. I grew up poor ,but never had a poverty mindset. How I respond to my Trauma is I always had a job and I am frugal.

One of the things a guy at work mentioned to me regarding investing and the fear surrounding it is to simply "pivot." There always is another option.

These are great tips! It's important to first acknowledge and recognize the "poverty mindset" before you can actually take steps toward healing and changing

Thank you Tae for summarizing this! Financial education seems to be scarcity now especially with younger generation.. Love the "hair" comment as a sideline joke! LMAO! Appreciate your information!

I am perfectly happy getting most of my clothes from Goodwill. It’s because I get good value there, and most of the items are practically brand new. It comes from a wealth building mindset, not a poverty mindset.

Me too! On senior days, 25% off gets me shirts for $3.75, etc. I’ve also shopped Poshmark with great results. In fact, I’m spoiled!

I literally just dropped my wife off at Ross. 😂😂 And I’m wealthy and grew up poor/working class (same for my wife). But it is one of the reasons we’re not poor anymore. 😂

It has been one year since you commented this and nobody responded. Though it is good to be proud that you escaped a previous situation, you should approach this with more maturity and hope you are not as arrogant in the real world as you are on KZbin.
@CrabbyE8

@ Nobody responded because my comment was just harmless, good fun. Interpretation: lots of us shop at Ross, even the former poor. Why so “judge-y?” Is that your thing? I don’t even know how you interpret my comment as “arrogant.” I was just trying to empathize with Tae. If it makes you feel better, I’m poor compared to Tom Brady and Taylor Swift. There, feel better? 😂 Maybe you need to relax and not be triggered by other people’s comments; or how about just not judging other people. 🙂

Agreed. Also, you're not going to Ross for a single item usually. You end up buying a few things due to the lower prices and likely having a need to add or replace parts of your wardrobe.
