So bloke at the Warhammer shop in Broady says that because the models are small that that makes it easier which he said is counter intuitive. Would that be coz a larger model would have more chances to show mistakes and bad brush lines etc? Kinda makes sense but also painting minis seems pretty tricky. I’m still waiting for my first ever stuff to arrive and have no clue how it will be yet.
@Mezgike2 жыл бұрын
Well I guess being small makes them easy to handle, and there is less surface area to paint. My advice is to go into this expecting it to be exciting, fun and enjoyable, not something that is either easy or hard. The harder you try the harder it is, which only means you’re pushing yourself to do your best. There are so many ways to paint minis. You can spend hours painting a hand, or you can spend 1 minute. It’s up to you to find the balance of what looks best to you, how long you want to spend, and how enjoyable you make it.
@terrydactyl20772 жыл бұрын
@@MezgikeI’m using this video as a basis for my Orks. I especially like the darker greens you use as I don’t like the really bright green that I often for their skin. I think Orks are good for me to start with as they are naturally messy anyway. But! I have to say I like your tutorials most because of the way you talk about painting and that it isn’t something to fret over. When you say things like “We’re just getting this bit here done. We’re not worried” means a lot and is super encouraging to me and no doubt many painters noob and pro. You often remind us watching that we need not worry about shit so much and that will help us to branch out and get better and not care about mistakes. And I put off starting war gaming coz I used to tell myself I’d be shit at painting the minis. Fucking love your work mate!

This is genius. Of course you can make agrax better, why didn’t I think of this! I haven’t really given the contrast paints a solid go to be honest, I mean not like how they were designed to be used. I use them a lot as either glazes or thin them down with washes.
