Just realized you were a Navy vet form your patreon page! Former Navy myself. I was an FC! I learn by watching also along with reading but I am so much more a visual learner! Thanks for all the great work man! It has really helped me with my Menoth and Skorne painting with airbrushes!

Great to see a video from you again :) I prefer having once in a while that really shows painting instead of random videos just for the sake of putting some up. Keep up the good work!

How do you apply matte varnish on your models? I've tried everything and I still get a frosted finish.

Great paint job. Hey I just started using an airbrush..literally today and I use Vallejo varnish. Was wondering if you need to thin that before shooting it through your brush. Thanks! Oh and a big thank you to yourself and Chung at WGC for putting out awesome vids. You and the guy from Buy Painted really helped me on the road to starting with an airbrush, so cheers!

I absolutely despise skaven, be it the lore or on the table, but that was one heck of a tutorial! Hope to see more high quality soon and more frequently.

another great vid dude. and your using the great ichiban brushes. I hear alot people say those brushes suck, but you seem to have no problems with them. I also use them think there great. Nice new dry brushes, look forward to getting my hands on those. Keep up the great work
@LesterBursleyMiniatures9 жыл бұрын
TheWarped72 Thanks! Yeah I've seen people bash them too. I just film using them and let the viewer decide based on the performance they see.

Beautiful work, as always Les. I especially liked the lining in on the model, as opposed to an overall wash. An overall wash would have toned the model down too much. Thanks so much for the tutorials!
@LesterBursleyMiniatures9 жыл бұрын
Mike Tobin Thanks! Yes I prefer the lining because I tend to be a bit rough when cleaning the mold lines. Wash would fall into the rough areas and look awful.
@HouseofChains819 жыл бұрын

Are those Les Bursley Signature Series brushes? If so, congrats man. You've invested a lot if time into giving great tutorials to the community. You deserve something cool like that. :) Nice tutorial too, by the way. :)

Are they not the Ichiban Studios brushes?
@DrDeathmonger9 жыл бұрын
The Ichiban series that I got through Kickstarter, and the ones on their site, don't include the drybrush or the other, or anything in blue. Also, I noticed Les' logo on the handle. Just curious.
@LesterBursleyMiniatures9 жыл бұрын
DrDeathmonger Thanks! Yeah they are soon to be released at GenCon. Technical series brushes which include 2 drybrushes made of ox hair and the Wakizashi which is a new lining brush.

What color did you paint the eyes? Looks like you left the color of the plastic but Shaded it with the violet color.
@Banshun9 жыл бұрын
The current trend is towards NMM and blending, but you can achieve amazing results with dry brushing and black lining. I like this style a lot.
@lostsanityreturned9 жыл бұрын
Banshun Actually the trend is going back toward TMM more than NMM from what I can see.
@Banshun9 жыл бұрын
lostsanityreturned Yeah. A lot of the models these days look like they are lit up with LEDs.
