I wish these types of videos offered advice that could be applied like hey ATI exams are nothing like class exams. ATI asks questions in puzzle form and require the test taker to use ATIs tips like urgent vs non urgent, maslow's hierarchy of needs, evidence based practice, therapeutic responses, and ABCs. ATIexams have little to do with nursing school, but learning how to take exams...

Wow, thank you for this video. This makes so much sense now why our cohort is not doing well. We DONT have access to ATI yet nor ATI modules, yet we are given exams with ATI material that does not correlate with our lecture textbook assigned….so irritating. Imagine taking fundamentals and no matter how much you know the textbook material, it doesn’t matter because ATI resources are different…

My husband spread out all the practice tests. Spent 2 months going through them, understanding the rationales...before taking the ATI exam, he was scoring 98% or higher on each of the practice tests. He took the ATI exam and was SO DISHEARTENED because he scored a 75% and said the practice tests only helped him with 4 questions on the actual exam. Any advice for him?
@NursingSOS3 жыл бұрын
Nico James, so sorry that was his experience. Keep doing practice tests and rationale, like he had been doing. Sometimes with these test bank exams you just get unlucky with the questions you are given, but usually by studying for your courses, incorporating practice questions, and reviewing rationale it helps SO MUCH! Tell your husband not to give up! He CAN do this!!! It also might be helpful to check in with his instructors as well, see if they have any input too! :)

Hello , my question to you is in regards to Ati testing , when given your exams were you ONLY given test questions related to the course you were enrolled in? Example: if you were currently enrolled in a fundamentals class did they only give you test questions related to that subject or did you also see med surg 2, peds questions on your fundamentals exam? Again this is just example
@NursingSOS2 жыл бұрын
Tolu Ogundele, great question! Typically it is only on the subject that you are learning about, some programs will have a comprehensive exit exam which will cover topics from all the courses. So if it is your course ATI and not the exit one it will be focused on that subject.

I have ATI mental health tomorrow, I’m in my last term and we have five proctors plus our midterms and finals and quizzes. I’ve never felt so much pressure on me to get through this. I’ve never failed an ATI in the previous terms and just thinking I could fail one just adds the stress

I'm failing the tests the quizzes we practice online have nothing to do with the proctor exam. We never were told ATI had online ebooks for the classes or practice quizzes that weren't party of the practice exam. They tell you to remediate exam but the info has nothing to do with the proctored exam. There's also info that we haven't heard of or learned anything about on the proctor test. It makes it impossible to pass. I'm not a fan of ATI tests

What is the ATI examen?I’m starting Nursing school in This August coming up.

ATI is basically a test bank and curriculum that some nursing schools use. If your school doesn't use it you don't need to worry about it 🙂

I just took my first quiz on ATI, i read the chapters, and made flash cards (quizlet) but i still just got a 72. I don't think these questions are simple reading comprehension. what is the name of the style of questions? It felt like all the answers were possible, but only 1 of them was the MOST possible. what am i doing wrong?
@NursingSOS4 жыл бұрын
Bridget, You CAN do this, these are NCLEX style questions, they focus on critical thinking and not just memorizing the information, but being able to APPLY it to a scenario. We just did an AMA on critical thinking and how to focus your studying so that you are constantly learning with this in mind. It will help SO MUCH, you will go into your exams feeling super confident and prepared! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWTdgKqwp7FlkM0 Hope this helps! You've got this! :)

I am having trouble with "focus review" after I take a practice ATI exam. It shows what to read but it takes me to a chapter of the book & then it just continues to show more chapters. How do I know when to stop that point of the focus review and go to the next one?
@NursingSOS2 жыл бұрын
Great question, Miranda Flemming! There isn't a magic number of chapters, but each chapter will dive further into the topic so that you can critically think about it. So you may only need to read one of, or part of a chapter, or you may get through that chapter and not fully understand the concept to be able to critically think about it. It will vary, but focus on making sure you are able to critically think and apply the topics instead of just trying to memorize them. You CAN do this! Thank you for your support, it means the world to us. 😊

Great question, Sato Thompson! focus on learning the medications by pharmacological classification, and learning the mechanism of action for them.
