Those hip joint capsules are often overlooked. How did you go?

I watched this video last night and couldn't wait to give it a try this morning! In the past few years, I've had great progress with many problems as a result of an automobile collision 20 years ago, except for hip stiffness. These exercises are fantastic! After just the first exercise session, I can feel an improvement. Thank you so much for your videos. I can't express the level of gratitude I have for all of your help. Keep your videos coming!

That’s great to hear Diane! I’ll keep putting them out if you keep watching them!

Great information. I can't figure out where my pain is stemming from. Sacroiliac? Psoas? Pain on outer hip extending down the thigh. Your videos do help somewhat. I'll keep attempting to work it out.

Keep hunting around mate! I’d be interested in assessing the base of the rib cage and slightly below for stiffness fwiw!

Thanks for sharing this, I’ve been trying to get out of hip pain for the last two years. I’ve done quite a lot of these joint mobilizations maybe not consistently enough. Is it ok to do this routine everyday?
@YourWellnessNerd6 ай бұрын
It typically is Joel! Obviously each person needs to listen to how makes their bodies feel, but they’re often quite comfortable.

Why don’t you recommend using a lacrosse ball for stiff hips or is it only for hip impingements?
@YourWellnessNerd6 ай бұрын
Lacrosse balls are fantastic for finding and releasing specific soft tissue tightness, and spinal joint stiffness due to its ability influence superficial structures. With that in mind, a ball can be really helpful in finding and releasing a lot of hip muscle tightness that may be involved in restricted hips, but the hip joint is pretty deep in there and more of a ball and socket joint, which doesn’t lend itself to the ball as much!

That looks like an Iron Neck device hanging off the weight frame. How do you find it? Do you find it effective in resolving neck issues/pain?
@YourWellnessNerd6 ай бұрын
It’s certainly a unique and convenient way to strengthen the neck - I find it allows us to hit areas traditional exercises don’t!

If one has stiff hips its very unlikely they are able to do deep squats.
@patfitzie6 ай бұрын
The squats only test the hip movement in one direction. There are other directions of hip movement which could still be restricted while still being able to go into a deep squat.

I tried every exercise, every stretch, had massage. Hung upside down, had stem cell on hips. I finally had both hips replaced, first the right one then 8 years later the left my last surgery was 10 years ago. I walk 1000 steps a day. Do Pilates and yoga no problem and do squats but I can't do deep squats still
@zakdee27326 ай бұрын
@karenromiah6872 gosh that sounds like a tough struggle. Glad you're better now. I don't want surgery so need to keep struggling, I'm improving slowly by practicing squats regularly. But my knees won't come close enough to my chest. Feels like my back or belly are preventing it. Thanks for sharing.
