man told you Iranian and Indian are brothers . The same technique is used by many Indians. wink Fun fact : I loved watermelons so much in my childhood that i used to eat them all day and night. My parents told me that if you eat it more,it will grow in your stomach. As a result I stopped eating it. One fine day my father was like taking me to vegetable market and suddenly a woman came who was pregnant and she was dad's aquaintance. She was talking to dad and suddenly I stated "Hey,did she too ate many watermelons?"
@MrSivansuresh7 жыл бұрын
Rajat Sharma Innocence of child. I had similiar story. I drank lemon water and gulped seed with it. I got scared and asked my parents if lemon seed will grow into plant in my stomach. My father started teasing me that they will pluck lemons from my stomach. I got more scared and traumatized :D

@kathyblack66517 жыл бұрын
How to Pick a Watermelon Pick it up: Big or small, the watermelon should feel heavy for its size. Look for the yellow spot: Watermelons develop a splotch where they rest on the ground. When this splotch is creamy yellow, it's ripe. Give it a thump: Tap the underbelly of the watermelon. A ripe one will have a deep hollow sound. Under-ripe or over-ripe melons will sound dull.
@jjtomecek16237 жыл бұрын
Also, if you flick a watermelon, and it sounds hollow with a "thump" sort of sound, it's good.
@jessicamateos56246 жыл бұрын
If I remember right, they're supposed to give a hollow sound if they're good. They'll be quiet/solid if it's not.

"be shart e chaghoo" roughly translated "Cut guaranteed" is a watermelon selling phrase in Iran, which means, if you buy it with this guarantee, go home and open it, you can return the rotten open watermelon. Some sellers even cut a sample before you buy it, to show you how confident of their stuff, they are. And that technique is based on personal experience, fine juicy watermelon has different resonance from unripe, dry ones. Which ones, which? Beats me. Trial and error.

If it smells nice fregrance, the internal is going to be sweet. For durian, you can smell too, but shaking it will determine if it's hollow or not. It's easy.
