I originally learned on a nylon string guitar (classical style) and that finger picking was really tough as a beginner that was used to picking everything. Great lesson!

Have to ask, did you used to perform. You're such a solid guitarist, and I imagine you played with a band, and we're likely quite good? Your personality is also top-notch!! Thanks for the many tunes you've taught me. Your lessons are always fantastic, and you're clearly a great guy who also has a great sense of humor that I can pick up in your subtleties. Rock on Shane!!

Hey, thank you Aaron - that’s hugely encouraging. Yes I was fortunate enough to travel all over the planet as a guitar player doing session work. Was a lot of fun, but I’ve been home for a few years now and quite enjoying that too. I always have fun and I’m really glad you’re enjoying my best to you! cheers Shane

@GuitarAtWork Thanks! My intuition is often right, and I knew you must've been. I'm so happy to hear you had all those amazing years living the dream and again enjoy your personality as much as your lesson, which is an added plus. Great 2 learn Great music from Great people is what me say!

how about the lead guitar on “Turn the Page” by Bob Seeger? It’s way trickier than it first sounds. It will fool you if you’re not careful.

Doing the Animals version? How about transcribing the organ solo for guitar and going from chord to solo and back to a chord?
@GuitarAtWork2 жыл бұрын
Great idea - maybe I'll do that in another video. Cheers, Shane

Thanks for the video. I love the way you teach. I've been trying to get this song right for weeks and I was very close. The picking pattern on the d and f were tripping me up. You helped a lot.

Hi Todd - ha! Really glad you enjoyed - I had the light in the wrong place for that last round of videos - I shot six in the same day and didn't know my glasses were reflecting like that - drives me crazy too but I didn't feel it was worth redoing them all. Argh! Will be better next time! Shane
