Which IO playstyle do you guys like more? The healing one or the spirits one?
@slickm88742 жыл бұрын
Maxing spirits is almost better every single game I play.. easy kills (in off lane as core or support) but first item soul ring but what do U think of new boots? Passive 15hp regen

skipping spirit and shard is a massive mistake if your a healer IO the hp return from spirit spell leech is higher than the tether heal rate at any given stage of the game and just in general why would you give up the supplemental healing even if it wasnt. makes very little sense. Also the same thing goes for attack tether target and life steal items. IF we are focused on healing and not on other stats that would be the optimal choice.
@AnysuDota Жыл бұрын
I just did the math again. Even with Holy locket to amp up the healing and shard, hitting 5 Spirits will heal your tethered partner for 57.915 hp which is not that much (assuming 25% magic resist on the enemy). Personally I like to be a little more survivable myself so i can position more aggressive. But also keep in mind, this guide is more than a year old. At this point spirits were higher in manacost and io doesn't buy to many items to provide mana (usually you want to keep the locket charges for healing... not to replenish your own mana). But in the end it is just an option and a prefered playstyle. I like to play without spirits myself and i still do it most games. Sometimes i grab them for vision.
@kylekelley2778 Жыл бұрын
@@AnysuDota thanks for the reply. I suppose it matters how you build her as well. I do work in some dmg later game in some situations if we dont need the tank IO stats and it ends up translating into some pretty substantial heals with shard plus inherent spell amp. If we are talking no items aka locket for heal boost then your 100% correct. But boosting a non existent heal obvs isnt gonna do much but add in some dmg though and we have a different story. Plus your a bit more useful over all. Totally depends on match ups and comps though ill admit. There are matchs where I do things very similar to you.

Tiny seem too be a good hero now , pretty high winrate and alot of picks, and io and tiny is a pretty good comp. Would you go shard paired with tiny ?
@AnysuDota2 жыл бұрын
Yeah at first I had tiny on the list but I wasn't sure if he will be a core or support this patch. But he is good with io for sure when he is playable as a core (right know he probably looks like pos 1 again) :D

I know you love the slow from the tether. But remember when shard gave a stun to any opponent touching the tether? That was so good. The slow is still great but quite frankly a step down. I was sad when they revamped IO's shard.

Here's my issue, I find leveling as Io extremely difficult, I'm often 8-10 levels below enemy heroes with support builds, I just can't seem to get my XP to stay relevant as the game transitions out of early mid-game and late game. Hoping for some help.
@kwonone15402 жыл бұрын
Try being more greedy supports tend to not farm enough for example stack early and when your carry takes stack take the lane for solo xp

love your guides! But have a question. Why do you use soul ring when not using spirits? also do you have a guide on how to play more "impact style" with spirits?
@AnysuDota2 жыл бұрын
i rarely ever buy the soulring without the spirits build. The game in the video we had a Storm and i just wanted to enable him with the soulring with some early boosted mana :) your tethered partner will also gain the mana. If i happen to play a game with the spirits build thats worth watching i can upload that. Right now i don't have footage available because i don't really like that build :D
@anti21172 жыл бұрын
Nice, i never thought about using this as a mana battery for other hero's. Smart! Another question I have is. You said that winning the lane phase is important. Do you have any clips showing how to deal with landing phase? Im very locked to io and want to play him every game, this is obvious suboptimal as not every game have good heroes to team with. Therefore my landing phase is somewhat mixed and not consistent. (Obv playing with someone who don't know IO and how it can support is not helpful) do you have any tips for improving on the laning phase regardless of who you play with(skilled or not)

I've been seeing a lot of pro games playing io storm, and was wondering what kind of build or approach on io would best fit that kind of playtyle? Thanks. Also, fantastic vid!

Hey Anysu! I was wondering if you could give me some Hero suggestions. I want to learn the Position 4 role and want to spam a Hero while doing so. Do you have any suggestions? Reason being that I will be totally familiar with the Hero and concrete on learning the Position 4 role. I have just over 500 games so still relatively new to Dota. Thanks!
@AnysuDota2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, honestly... i don't like giving any suggestions for heroes. I think you should play the heroes that you like and that you have fun playing, not the ones that others like to play. Just go over ever hero in the game and write down the ones you like the most. If you just play heroes that other people tell you to play, you will probably lose interesst in them pretty quickly :D If you want, i can give you some of MY personal favourite pos 4s, but most of them are not meta. I just like to play them :)
@regannealephotography2 жыл бұрын
@@AnysuDota That is great advice and very true. I will make a list and play a few games with each and see which I enjoy the most. I would be interested to know your favourites though. It’s always good to know what others find enjoyment with.

@@AnysuDota thanks! i've been mostly keeping with holy locket starter and then going greaves if no one else is but considering going new boots of bearing if we have a greaves. the no charges nor mana cost and the regen it gives looks perfect.

@@TheHammockProduction I would never ever buy greaves on io. Locket into mek is fine, but after that, better go for glimmer or halberd or any other support item. Greaves is nearly useless on io to be honest.

Why is the 0.2% max HP talent good? This is only like 6hp/sec if you have 3k hp.
@AnysuDota2 жыл бұрын
you rarely ever need less cd on relocate. Also, 6hp with locket bonus and tether bonus heals around 10 hp per sec. Also your tethered target will get the bonus percentage from his own hp too. So this is around 15-20hps more, which is probably better than the relocate cd unless you really need to relocate all the time. But as i said, both talents are viable for sure :D so pick which one you need for the game
