Beautiful performance of this cool 80s song. Wonderful vocal/guitar arrangement and demonstration tutorial video explaining your arrangement. You make it easy for us to learn and perform your excellent vocal/guitar arrangements. Great work!

Thank you for this one. I can’t believe I haven’t learned it yet; and I’m Canadian! Gotta see if I can make room on the board for just one more pedal.

Fun song Troy! Good choice! I really like that pedal. It definitely adds to this song. You are right about tuning down a half step. My guitar lives at a half step down. I have been tuning that way for years. If I do want to play a song at the original key I just capo up the first fret and go for it.

Thanks Robert, I’ve always tried to keep my video tutorials to standard tuning for simplicity sake. With that said, there’s probably dozens of my tutorials that should have been performed and played a half step down. Singing some of those 70’s and 80’s tunes posted on my channel damn near killed me vocally every time!

Is it possible to get your drum track? My 10 year Daughter is going to play this with her friends at school. What pedals are you using for the synth and drum track, it'd be awesome for her practicing at home! Thanks for the video, very clear and easy to follow with my kiddo. We are having a ton of fun learning together.

Hello @yokai8764 thank you for taking the time to leave a positive comment. I use drum track from my Beat Buddy foot pedal. The synthesizer effect you hear is from a foot pedal called a Synth9 by a company called Electro Harmonics. At minute 1:58 of my video, I discuss them both and show you the settings I use to perform this song. If you like this song, I do tutorials on a number of 80’s tunes. You might find more songs you and your daughter can learn :) thanks again, I hope you subscribe and follow my channel!

Troy, what setting you got on the Electro Harmonix for the song? Sounds great man!

Hi, that’s actually not an easy question to answer as the pedal’s turning knobs have no numbers. So I’ll do the best I can here using a clocks time as the example…. Dry knob is completely off (zero) Synth knob is set to between 9/10 CTRL 1 set to around 1 CTRL 2 set to 11. You likely have to dial it in to your specific gear and liking. Hope that helps.
