I can Testify, that these exercises and watching Isaiah for a long time has increased my vertical. Went from not jumping to Dunking on lobs and now aiming to dunk by myself.

power clean vs power snatch? I know they're both good, but curious about when and why you would pick one over the other. also wanna know about front squat vs back squat.
@leonardozafra756 Жыл бұрын
Power clean probably gonna be better overall , but it’s good to have variety. And you should do both back and front squats. They program certain exercises depending on the athletes strengths/weaknesses and also what cycle they’re in like a strength phase or elastic cycle. It rlly depends on the athlete and what qualities they’re trying to improve during that specific time

So by these Vids, I guess Isiaih bodyweight to be at 172 lbs. He has more muscle than you think and it's 6'2" or 6'3". It's a great weight for a jumper. I'm not sure how bananas his core looks, but his legs look pretty good. It could tighten up just a little for that "craftmanship" look, but great job making it to 50+ from under 30".

Dam bro!!! I'd be happy to just make 40"... I haven't messed with it in a long time. I do other fitness activities, I'm currently bringing the bodyfat down to 6 or 7% and i will mess with those type of things again. I'll shoot for a 40+" hops and a good power clean. Your power snatch demo was great, shows even with only the bar it's very useful. @@IsaiahRivera1

187lb? Alright... Damn i knew you was heavier than you might look, but that's a good bit. Muscle is heavy. That's a real good weight for what you're doing on your height. @@IsaiahRivera1

I had an erector spinae contraction a couple of month ago while deadlifting and I couldn't jump for about one month. Can this exercise hurt my back and what do I do if I feel pain? (Love your videos btw)

Do you think it's a good idea to do sngle leg olympic lifts (from the hang position using ~30-40% of the bilateral lift). I found the single leg variation to be more lowerbody, especially ankle dominant and less upperbody (back). I think this resambles jumping even better and has the advantage of no needing as much grip and lower back strength. There is also this variation: a single leg hang clean with knee drive onto a box wich is even more sport specific and not that difficult in my opinion.

@dennisrobinson8008 Жыл бұрын
Young man, you will learn about "systems" and planning and time. You invest the time with a quality effort and you eventually will be rewarded with a gain. To dunk you need your hand about 8" over the rim... So you need 7.5 more inches.

If you just continually did power cleans back squats and heavy calf raises on top of a lot of jump sessions could you get to a 40+ vert without any other training plan
@winz319 Жыл бұрын
that in itself is basically a training plan and you also need for recoveries or you will get injured
@zafiruzoma6234 Жыл бұрын
Terrible idea, you're going to plaetaeu or get injured. You need to periodize your workouts. Go from general to specific, volume to intensity. It will take a lot research to understand how to periodize do it's easier to just pay for a program. Thp is the most expensive and they don't even give access to their community without you paying extra so look into cheaper alternatives

@benjoleo Жыл бұрын
best you can do is lots of plyometrics pistol squats and nordic curls, but really you should join a gym or buy a barbell+plates+crash pads. Bodyweight is fine for upper body aesthetics stuff, but when you're training for sports performance you should really be using weights

I don’t think they’re ever said ur training is going to get u to 50 inches. I’m pretty sure they’d agree that genetics have a heavy influence. But just Bcz it does doesn’t mean u cant improve urself.
