On Today's Episode:
The Body Shop launched a global report this year that revealed 60% of women wish they had more respect for themselves. This study is shining light on a self-love crisis. Sexuality, economic status, age, and time on social media were all factors that seem to impact how people felt about themselves and their ability to love themselves. In this episode, we have 7 powerful women who understand the pain of being in a mental space that doesn’t make you feel confident or much like a badass. The throughline here seems to be that self love requires you to take the time to get to know yourself. So, in the next 35 minutes, take notes and think through areas you can start to remove the barriers in place preventing you from loving yourself. Where are you being most unkind to yourself? Where does self-doubt seem to always show up? It’s time to create an unbreakable relationship with yourself, and this is how…
“I’m my own worst critic, talk a whole lot of shit,
but I’m a ten out ten even when I forget!
I wonder when I love me is enough”
-Demi Lovato

QUOTES:
“We never get into relationships with people or friendships without knowing them. We can't fall in love with someone without knowing them.” Radhi Devlukia [1:20]
“To love yourself is to say this shit’s hard, I'm not comfortable, but I love myself so damn much, and I love what's on the other side of this, this vision that I hold, this impact that I want to make that girl, You better get your ass up!” Roxanne Saffaie [4:44]
“The most valuable methodology tactic is really spending time in your journal to deeply connect with who you are, and developing a relationship with who you were blooming into.” Roxanne Saffaie [10:59]
“We're trying to love an idea of who we wish we were not who we are currently, and that's why we fail so much when it comes to this idea of just loving yourself.” Cynthia Garcia [14:18]
“We have to be fulfilled in different parts of our lives. if one thing goes down, that can't be the end all be all.” Patrice Washington [22:38]
“Self love is picturing the person that you love the most and telling yourself, I will not treat myself any less than I would treat that person.” Najwa Zebian [23:46]
“Be seen, so that you can see yourself because I think that's the thing is we're just like coasting through this life, thinking that we're supposed to get to this place, but it doesn't exist because everyone's trying to sell a salvation.” Daniele Della Valle [28:59]
“Your relationship with yourself is the foundation of every single relationship that you have. If you don't love and respect yourself, how on earth are you going to do that for other people?” Mel Robbins [34:31]

I literally hug myself. I only start doing this, this year. I feel my face and my arms. The first time I did it, I felt weird. I wanted to cry. It felt soo good. Now if I need a hug or love, I have a moment with me. As I was watching this today I gave myself a hug and closed my eyes and touched my face. How I would to someone I love ❤️

I walked away from my mother and 2 brothers. I wouldnt accept how they treated me anymore, especially as I had just brought new life my daughter into the world. I cried for 3 weeks and 4yrs later I'm still healing from the traumas I went through with them, yet still best thing I ever did. I mattered!

I really needed to hear this. I am very codependent. I have just been dumped from a nine year relationship, we have three children together. I wake up feeling like I've been punched in the gut every day. I am so hurt and I want him back so bad but realistically he offered me nothing and he devalued me. I paid all of our bills, did all the cooking and cleaning, and taking care of the kids and he did nothing except take out the trash. I can't forget how good I felt at first. All the sparkly feelings and sometimes feeling that way throughout the relationship. Feeling so comfortable with myself but he really never did respect me. I want to let it go but it's so hard

Just always remember what u deserve. It's no longer about him anymore. He already made you feel as if u can do it all on your own because u was just be real within. Knowing that u and your children and God. Is all u need too get through this hard realization.

Always remember that this is not about you but about him. Talk to yourself like you are talking to your best friend and you will feel better. Think about your needs and what you deserve and you will feel better. It will not happen overnight just be patient with you:) Much love.

Starting the journal today. Also love the self love talk. There's no rules or one way, we are complex, emotions have to be felt out, experienced. We grow into ourselves, from who we thought was ourselves. We change all the time and may never know ourselves. So I say be OK with the good, bad and ugly ❤. I definatly am in transformation following self acceptance of what is. I will also for sure treat myself how I treat my angel daughter

Amazing compilation. Each person shared a gem. 💎 I wanted to hug Patrice who came on at 17:48 so badly. Bullying can be so hurtful and clearly made her totally separate from reality and carry these insecurities like burdens. I also love Daniele’s idea of creating more positive interactions between women. There are so many layers of toxicity that need to be dealt with.

⭐️ *5 Powerful Ways To Become Your Best Self:* 1. Try new things. You can’t let yourself become complacent. Surprise yourself by pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. Doing so will give your ingenuity and innovative side a boost. Plus, you will have discovered something new about yourself -- perhaps a hidden talent or an ability to learn something you didn’t think you were capable of. 2. Pursue your dreams. Most people on their deathbeds say their biggest regret was not living their life to the fullest and actually pursuing their dreams… Instead, most of them lived a life pursuing other peoples dreams (like their parents) and never end up being their own authentic self… Don’t wait until you’re on your deathbeds. Do it now. 3. Sustain your motivation. We all have days when we wake up just not feeling it. Those days when our brains won’t get going - we’d rather do anything besides working. But despite being low on energy or inspiration, you have to find a way to keep moving forward. Remember, progress is incremental. You have to find ways to keep that fire in your belly; to keep nurturing that deep desire to achieve. 4. Create good habits. Habits shape our life. But remember when developing a habit it takes time and repetition, and should be done slowly. Trying to change too many things at once will feel overwhelming and daunting. The goal is to make incremental changes to your lifestyle that eventually become a way of life. Remember that even small habits can have a powerful cumulative effect. 5. Focus on self-care. Never spread yourself too thin. Many times we focus too much on filling other peoples cups that we forget to fill our own… Don’t forget, you can’t be the best for others if you can’t be the best for yourself. If you’ve read this far and resonate with this post… Save it to remind yourself everyday and give it a thumbs up so others can see it and apply it as well! - Just an Alchemist, sending you lots of love

May take home point is loving yourself is picturing that person you deeply love and telling yourself that you will not treat yourself any less than you would treat that person and that's powerful and if we can learn this,I believe self love is gonna prevail. Thank you so much ladies for sharing and impacting lives.

To love yourself, try to FAKE IT UNTIL YOU MAKE IT. It’s a practise, it will become a habit. And it will bring vision to the person you want to become. MANDATORY EACH MONRING: 1. Create an affirmation to choose accurate and kind words about yourself 2. Focus on one thing you are grateful for, turn that resource into a step towards a goal BESY PRACTICES and WISHES for us ALL!
