Thank you for this video! I’m sitting the UCAT in NZ next year. I sat it last year, but already knew I wasn’t getting into med (due to grades in one paper) so I went into it with no practice and just gave it a shot (had already paid and wasn’t getting a refund so why not lol). Hopefully this video will help me out next year!!

How hard is UCAT? UCAT is a very difficult test. It can be difficult to know where to start with UCAT preparation. When you start studying for UCAT is to understand the types of questions that you will face. You should aim to complete one practice exam a day & try to replicate the test environment as best as possible. iCanMed helped me to provide various UCAT sample papers, Multiple test, Doubt solving sessions, and Personalised attention that were very helpful for mu UCAT exam success.

Hi Kenji! Just wanted to say thank you for making all of your videos they’re so informative and fun to watch 💕 I would like some advice on my application though - I sat my UCAT yesterday and I achieved 658 average and Band 1 on my SJT. I really want to apply to KCL as I love what the Medicine course there entails however now I’m unsure if my UCAT score is high enough 😭 I did get 7 A*s and 3 As in my GCSEs so maybe my GCSE grades will partially compensate for my slightly low score? Any advice would be very much appreciated! I’m so uncertain of applying because everyone keeps telling me that KCL only accepts people with UCAT scores of over 700 and I don’t know what to believe 😭
@DoctorKenji4 жыл бұрын
Hey! I got 645 in my UCAT and know many friends at King's who got similar scores. King's are quite holistic when they look at your application and focus on other aspects other than academics - so based on my experience I wouldn't be disheartened in applying!

thank you for the video. how would you recommend the amount of time that students in high school(IB to more specific) should spend on preparing for this test? I've seen people saying that they spent 4-6 hours before the exam starts which is very unrealistic because of the heavy workload from school.
@DoctorKenji2 жыл бұрын
I personally spent 4 hours a day for 3 weeks but the more time you have, the better!

Hey Kenji ! Long time follower of your journey here aha xD I wanted to ask you, would you recommend the 1250 ISC book? I'm reading and hearing from alot of people that the questions are extremely hard and unrealistic and that the explanations are not very good? Ty !!
@DoctorKenji4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks so much for the support. Tbh I haven't used that book myself so I'm sorry I can't comment too much on that. I'd definitely recommend the Kaplan book though!

Do you think you can ‘miss your peak’ with more than say 2 months of practice?
@DoctorKenji4 жыл бұрын
In my opinion I would say that 2 months is a bit lenghty, but it depends on your personal circumstance!

Hey Kenji, random q is it a long journey from Angel lane to guys campus? I'm a med student with KAAS and looks like angel lane is the only accommodation available atm, would you reccomend taking angel lane?

It's not close, you'll probably have to take a bus or ride a bike but it's manageable!

Hi Kenji! I was looking at KCL accommodations and some say “KAAS En-suite” what does that mean? Thanks
@DoctorKenji4 жыл бұрын
KAAS is a scheme at king's where they lower the rent for people who come from a low income family!
