Thank you for the video. 2009 Traverse I just attempted this today. Randomly yesterday the key fob stopped working, one minute I used the keyfob to open the lift gate and next minute its acting dead. I replaced the battery and still nothing. I tried reprogramming it and the car chimes two beeps as per your video but the buttons still don't do anything. lock unlock gate lift, nothing works. Any ideas?

No, you need to turn the ignition to the "ON" position. On is as far as you can turn the ignition forward without actually starting the vehicle.

Question cam you do this if your having issues with the anti-theft system. I haven't had a key fob for like 1.5 years but just a month ago it blew my 2a PWR MODE fuse under the glove box. I font know what to do

The whole remote should program at the same time. It sounds like either you vehicle does not have those options, or there is simply an issue with those buttons on the remote.

Please note that this feature is not available on certain GM models, like my wife's 2011 Traverse. About a year ago, I bought a couple of blank fobs and a "fastlink" OBD programmer on e-bay. I had the new and 1 old working fob programmed in less than 5 minutes. It worked great! It was way less expensive than going to a dealer or locksmith
