Excellent video Bro! I haven't had the opportunity to install this specific key pad. But I did notice in your video you have to take a few more steps. I like the fact that the keypad now beeps or signals when the operation is complete. The regular keypad does not do that. I'm gonna try a purchase one of these new Genie keypads. I will keep you posted when I do. Cute kid by the way! It's clear he is following after your footsteps.

Hey thanks a lot man! Yes that genie universal keypad is brand spanking new! I don't think it's available on the retail setting yet. You may have to get it from a supplier. I totally like how it beeps. It's really user friendly although it seems like there's a couple more steps. Yeah my son he's something else! 🤣 It's practically impossible to film footage without him putting his two cents in. Lol

I need help, the only thing I can get to happen is the garage door opener light blinks on and off but nothing opens.. I wait for the remote to finish flashing and enter the pin I just entered a few minutes prior and it just blinks red at me 🤦‍♂️ garage door is a lift master made in like 97.. orange/red button .. I’ve been messing with it on and off for over two hours.. it shouldn’t be this hard

Also, if you have an old Genie with the Dipswitches and no learn button (ID 21 in chart A), when you get to the point of hitting the learn button you will instead enter a series of "1" or "2" on the keypad corresponding to your dipswitch code. Then hit the double arrow button as described and the opener should operate.

I have a Genie 7055 and it works going down by pressing the mounted button but it won't go up. I can manually bring it up pressing the button on the unit but not with the remote. It's almost like it's not strong enough to open the door.

If you have the linear make sure you hold the learn button on your opener for about 6 seconds, not the 2-3 seconds the instructions call for.

Any idea how to find the ID code# number for a Martin overhead door opener? I believe it was made by Marantec, so I've tried IC code #12, but it doesn't seem to work....

I've programmed the Genie GUK-R remote now none of the car HomeLinks or clickers work. Reprogrammed the clickers and the GUK-R keypad does not work. Any ideas? Is it one or the other? if so, the Genie is going back. It's a Marantec opener.

So, sometimes garage door openers will be maxed out from previous codes. Meaning you need to clear out the Marantec memory. Then reprogram everything. Just not enough "storage". Now with a Marantec it's not an easy task. They make it super difficult to do. Do you have the 3 pin connector that comes with the remotes? You will need that to clear the memory. Most folks have no idea what they are or where they are at. Although Marantec is German made, they are junk. Yes they are quiet, but that's about it. Not user friendly at all.

Are you saying to clear the car clickers codes or the codes in the opener? There are instructions to clear the car clickers, but not the opener.

I have an older Genie Intellicode II series opener. I have watched your video as well as the video on the Genie website. When I get to the step to press the up/down button every 2 seconds, I do it about 10 times and then everything on the keypad turns red and the door never opens. I can see on the operator that the learn light blinks every time I press that up/down button so it seems to be recognizing it but it just never opens the door. I have reset the keypad and retried it at least 10 times. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Red isn't good, lol. Are you using ID #6? Also, when you do the steps you wanna do it kinda of quickly because they are timed.

I’ve been trying to connect this thing for a while now and it’s not syncing. It’s a Genie Intellicode IB900/B. Garage Door Genius it flashes once but after I wait for the remote to do its thing and end the flashing I try to enter code and nothing happens.. it’s like it’s a bad code.. I know garage doors work because previous owner used the garage door remotes in their cars .. I even reset the garage door opener (I think)
