I have a 430R that is obviously of an earlier generation since it doesn't have the green panel and remotes are sync'd via DIP switches. M-430R is the model designation. You wouldn't happen to have a manual for this older unit by any chance????? Thanks in advance.

What if it doesn't work, there is definitely battery charge in the remote as the light is coming on. The old garage remote controller worker but the button stopped working well enough so it broke now I cant get the new remote to program. Your help is appreciated.

thanks for the video. before watching it though, i pushed the program button and the door doesn't lift up when we press the wall mounted button. is this because i touched the program button? i does lift up if we use the hand-held remote though.

Great easy to follow and it worked for me only thing is I installed a new 40 watt light globe and the globe is on all the time who do I programme the light to switch off ??????

Hi Nick, You can wire a remote button via the screw terminals on the bottom of the unit marked wall button. Hope this info has been helpful.

Hi - thank you for your video, but unfortunately I've followed your instructions many times, and it's still not working for me. The light keeps flashing after I press the second button - it doesn't stop immediately as it does in your video, and then when it eventually does stop, and I try the button, it doesn't operate the door. I've tried changing the battery in the remote, and I even took the new remote back to Bunning's and got a replacement but still no luck. It's quite an old roller door motor, but the other remotes we have work fine. Both the motor and the remote are exactly the same model that you have in the video. Any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Hi mate is it normal for these motor to make that much noise when running or is it something wrong with bearings or capacitor hasn’t got enough grunts bcz mine does the exactly the same amount of noise while operating as the one in this video ?

have 2 new remotes purchased it today and it is the same as the ones we have. The original ones work great we just needed more Did everything on the instructions did everything in this video, but nothing. Instead of the light flashing there is a green led light that starts flashing very fast when I press the learn button so I figure it is the same, but the new remotes do not link to the motor Any solutions? I have tried all combinations I am used to programing car keys but this remote is crazy

Thank you so much you saved the day. We purchased an additional remote when one was stolen. We asked how to programme it at the hardware shop as it had poor instructions. When we did what he said and it didn't work we googled your video. Easy if you know how. There is no way we could have worked it out from the instructions.

Hi, can i ask a question? My merlin 430r stopped working. The light comes on when i press the remote but the door doesn't move. i took the cover off to look for a fuse but nothing. There is a red LED that flashes 4 times, what does that mean?

I have had my remote stolen so I want to change the code so that the stolen one will not work on my door. Is it possible to change the code. I know that I can cancel all remotes but when I reprogram my remote will it be a new code? Thanks in advance for any advice

Deleting remotes • Press and hold the Learn button for more than 11 s • The LED will flash fast as a warning • After five seconds the LED will flash at twice the rate • After 11 seconds all the transmitters stored in the card’s memory will have been deleted • Normal LED heartbeat resumes

Hi unfortunately no, even though the remotes have the same frequency , a simple way to put it is they don't speak the same language. you can however buy an ATA receiver and attach it to the merlin system to use the ATA remotes but it would be cheaper to buy an additional merlin remote..
