How to Propagate Heucherella | Revitalise Overgrown Heucherella Plants | Hardy Perennials for Shade

In this video we are revitalising an overgrown Heucherella that we rescued from the garden centre. Heucherellas are great plants for shade and those difficult spots in the garden. Not only do these plants have attractive foliage, there also have delicate flowers too, often scented.

You could almost hear the plant sighing at having been rescued and invigorated. I often see discounted plants and I'm not always sure if they can be brought back to life but have had some successful ones. You find some great plants when you're out and about. Some are truly too far gone to be rescued and we often think why are they even bothering to try to sell them reduced when they are only fit for composting! Occasionally though we find ones like this that have potential. Plants are so expensive thesedays that we'd need a forest of money trees to fund our shopping trips! Andrew has been poorly with abdominal pain and ended up in A&E on Friday and then had to come back yesterday for a scan. Luckily nothing serious and he's much better today. Hope you are well amd have been enjoying the sunshine xxxx

The flowers are lovely and some are lightly scented. We love heuchera too, there's so much choice 😍

I use an old bread knife to divide plants , it's easier than using a small pen knife

Good tip but I personally find my pen knife very easy whereas I would find a bread knife too cumbersome.
