With the fertilizer you said not to use with fish. What do you do then before putting in fish tanks. Thanks
@AquariumPlantLab Жыл бұрын
A quick rinse of the plants in fresh water should do the trick. Just do not use hydroponic ferts directly in your fish tank.

So if the moss is gonna be put in the aquarium how can we remove the fertilizer substance in the moss?
@AquariumPlantLabАй бұрын
A quick rinse in fresh water is a good idea 👍

You also moved the cups much much closer to the lights. This also has a great impact.

I did but I also raised up the lights

How do you keep the java moss so green?
@AquariumPlantLab3 жыл бұрын
Nitrogen! Make sure to provide a sufficient amount of fertilizer for healthy growth :)

You said not fish safe fertilizer, will it be OK to use them in my fish tank if I buy? When they are ready to sell do you throttle back the ferts? Love the plants but gotta think of my fish first.
@AquariumPlantLab3 жыл бұрын
all of the plants that I grow in hydroponic nutrient solution get a rinse in fresh water before sale. Moss included. 😊 Also worth pointing out that most commercial aquarium plant farms grow hydroponically too.
@kaitangtseng77193 жыл бұрын
For Hydroponic fertillize do you need to wash it before adding the moss to your fish tank? Since its deadly to fish.
@AquariumPlantLab3 жыл бұрын
I always give my hydroponically grown plants a quick rinse in clean water before adding to my tanks. All of the plants I sell come pre rinsed :)

Also how long did it take for it to go from your first video growth to this one?
@AquariumPlantLab3 жыл бұрын
Was about 4 months. But as mentioned this setup really didn't work that well. I have other videos with methods that worked better 👍

Why don't you grow them under water? Isn't that the most natural way for Java moss to grow?
@IpodTouchTakeOver3 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming not safe for fish = also not safe for amphibians??
@AquariumPlantLab3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t use any ferts with any kind of livestock unless it is specifically made for use with livestock 👍
@thelarryle12 күн бұрын
You said don't use this with your fish since it's highly toxic - so it's okay to use it to grow your moss...but then you rinse it before you put it into a tank?
@AquariumPlantLab12 күн бұрын
@@thelarryle yes just give the moss a rinse if you’re concerned
