Good info! My upstairs neighbors are shady & one is pretty sneaky . They completely froze up my fire tv stick.. one of the oldest ones. So I got a Roku. I don't have a smart tv, but a Roku streaming stick. I had to have my ISP come out and do something to my line so I'm finally getting the speed I did in the beginning, but hopefully now they can't mess with my stuff.

Thank you for sharing this. My upstairs neighbor shut down both my roku tvs with a wifi signal jammer. But not my pc or phones because they have security software. I couldn't figure out how he did it to my TV's. So I went thru and did these adjustments.

Same our TV is also hacked and I don't know how it's even being hacked. Someone is trying to add Hulu and Vudu on my Tv in which I don't have it.

Yes. A lot of people don’t know about signal jammers. I hate devious neighbors & have had soo many problems w/them doing things like this. Did any of the suggestions from this video help with the signal jamming? I think they have something called anti-jammers or something along those lines but they are expensive

Mine don't have Advance System Settings. My search icon has stuff on it in Chinese stuff I never watched. Changed Google pw. But when I click my icon top left it shows a Gmail my name but its not mine. And the history won't cliear. Usually if I unplug my stuff back but not this time

I was just looking up something got out of it went back to start and there's all kinds of stuff Chinese stuff wrestling it's ridiculous I put a piece of black tape over one of the camera Holes I'm assuming it's the camera because the other one was for the volume to the TV.... My neighbor just hacked my Roku so I can’t watch TV, because he feels my tv is to loud. But we have thin walls here. After that I connected my iPhone to my Bluetooth stereo and hiked that shit up as high as it would go. Don’t start none, won’t be none.... please tell me how I can take my Roku back when it won’t even load and turn on now? I can hear the Roku theme song below every while in trying get it to work.

what i want to be able to do is this A&E or other Cable Networks that NEED you to sign into your CABLE or Satellite Providers. what if you sign into your selected channel and you put your info in, yet only pay for the internet not actual cable tv or even the package these networks are on. how can you log in to them even if you don't pay for that actual channel? is there a way to make these "sign in" networks allow you access to the "locked" content?

I have a roku tv and all of a sudden while watching cable tv spotify appeared on my tv and started to play music. I was like 'what the hell is going on ' My mom 88 years old mand our computer illiterate downstairs neighbor in our house don't know anything aboutsmart tvs. We are all in the same house. I am thinking my mom hit spotify on her cellphone and somehow connected to my tv. Can't be sure what happened. I was no where near my phones. But i deleted spotify from my phone just in case. Thanks for the tip i have changed the settings to permissions so hope that fixes the issue

Just now having this issue. My neighbor stole my airpods and "hacked" into my roku to demand money for me to get it back. Im gonna try this when i get home. And i will update if i notice anything for those who are having a similiar issue. Edit: so far so good. Kicked off my annoying neighbor. And has zero access to my TV. Highly recommend if you're having this issue.
