You have to be fast especially with your feet to close the distance. You have to be as flexible as a yoga type guy and as fast as a 100 m sprinter. Boxing is a anaerobic sport 95% don’t understand that. 10 times sprints for 30s with 2-4 min rest depending on your stamina is a must. Do this everything else is not working for you if you don’t do this first.

@@BCR.productions Nice but you do 30 sek with 2-4 min rest for 10 times? Best in my opinion is to do it alone in the forest because everybody has different stamina and only you know yourself. What about having a watch for your heartrate between the sets? Everybodys heart or stamina is different my friend. If you have the better stamina in a infight even your brainfunction is better, then you can throw that important hook what KO your opponent. Yoga panayama for 45 min is quite effective too but you have to warm up yourself for more than 20 min.

Tony ! Over last 5 years strength coaches have become a big part of boxing training . I watch a lot of boxing have noticed uk fighters have developed these huge chest and big triangle backs and massive arms . I ve also noticed these fighters that look in great shape Carnt punch and the percentage of good knockouts had gone down . I think the traps chest and lats are that strong it restricts that loose movement of the scapula and they’re forcing there punches instead of nice whip on the end of there punches . I think in any sport that uses rotation from the hip or a throwing motion you don’t get stiff athletes I.e boxers , American football quarter back , golf , javelin . ,baseball . There powerful but loose .

The upper body is so underrated and underestimated when it comes to power. Of course legs and hips are important, but if you really want to take your power to the next level. Your upper body strength needs to be improved. There’s so much emphasis on not arm punching that people start to become too bottom focused

Fast twitch and slow twitch muscle fibre... slow twitch just slows you down imo. Leverage is key to power, trying to use effort tires you out. Theres a lot of combinations that naturally follow each other. Like the left upper cut right hook left hook. I try to land the punches while they have my full body weight behind them so if the push off is an upward motion i will throw to land on the exact point it becomes a down ward motion just before the foot lands... I try not to even put effort in and let gravity give me the power. Hip movement is super important. Great video!!! Form is everything!!!!!

I don't believe that bodybuilders have any real disadvantages if they (1) have enough body fat, (2) do enough cardio and endurance training, (3) get enough experience with fighting movements and practice for their timing and reflexes. It's the lack of those 3 things that create the bad image of bodybuilders as slower, uncoordinated and more easily fatigued.

Tony Jeffries I would like to train with u this one dude I spar with in boxing boxes pro's I'm tired of trying to look for a punch on an opponent that had longer reach. If I can manage to get in and rip body shot s more frequently he'll go down cause he said he turns up the heat when I did that and all I knew was keep my hands up cause he can throw combinations while I try to figure out where his body is going which me looking for a hard punch after the jab. im a little tuff to but I just don't wanna absorb 1, 2 and 1234s to my arms while they're up l. I'm 162 5,9 5,10

Floor press is the better exercise for punching power ever all boxers and mma fighters use this exercise better than bench press

Bench press and anything with a long/single bar is BAD FOR YOUR JOINTS. I know so many guys who worked out like that and now they're all crippled by pain, chronic arthritis, etc. SMH

Punching hard is not only about muscles power and koordination. Its about stamina too and beeing flexible. I mean by that everytime when you throw that punch for example the left shoulder has to go back. Is worthless all the muscles when you don t have your left shoulder as much back as possible otherwise you will stop that motion when you need the most. And after 200 punches your muscles are stiff and already tired with this kind of training. My opinion: stretch the muscles involved in punching, google it, learn about stretching and increase your stamina first. 10 times 30s with 2-4 min rest depending on your stamina is still king. Those exercises in that video are just made that some personal trainers tell some fat babyboomers or Caren type bored housewifes to increase their punching power in shortest time possible. Its way more complicated than that. Even 25 min jogging with women weights is more effective than that above youtube video. GGG is dooing that too, this must be recognized.
