The drivers are in the 2.7.2 MPC Software installer (not the firmware installer) - re-run the installer, select MPC One and on the right there should be options to install the driver. Reboot after installation.

I've had mine for a year now It's never found the computer. Gets stuck at "audio driver monitor something" and says I dont have privileges. The akai customer service could not find the problem. I'll try the 2.7 install again but I'm pissed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Somebody, anybody please help😟

Couldn't help but notice your zoom r24 in the background. I've been trying to connect my mpc one and zoom r24 together, and can't figure out how to send to separate tracks. Any ideas?

For those still having trouble like I did initially you may have to download and install the MPC ONE driver first... especially if you've already had the software installed and was previously using another MPC controller like the MPC STUDIO prior to using the MPC ONE. Follow these steps: (1)Download the installer > (2)extract all files> (3)Go to installer Assets folder>(4)Go to drivers folder> (5) locate and double click on the driver for the current MPC controller you are using > (6) Follow the install instructions. After the diver installs you should be good to go...I didn't even have to reboot my PC. I hope this helps anyone still struggling!

WHERE is the driver and WHICH SPECIFIC file needs to be downloaded? For Win7 users (A LOT of us)... MPC Software above 2.8.3 will NOT work. 2.9 and 2.10 can only be installed to Windows 10. My One is updated to firmware 2.10.1. But the latest version I can use of MPC Software is only 2.8.3. The Akai site is crap. It has firmware .exes, img files, etc. But it doesn't have "MPC ONE Controller Mode Driver". It's such a simple thing to fix.. why can't they get their shit together?

In case some one has problems in finding the drivers, you can download from Akai web site a zip file for MPC 2 trial. Inside this zip file there is a folder with drivers for MPC one and other devices. The driver works with the free MPC beats as well. The next problem that I had after getting the MPC one to work in controller mode was to figure out how to open a project that I have created with MPC one. This can be done via Windows explorer by opening the SD card that's inside the MPC one and by double clicking the project file. After this the project is opened in the PC and in the MPC one.

How well integrated is controller mode with the software? Will I still need to use mouse and keyboard much, or will I be able to mostly do everything on the MPC? I really just want to be able to use omnisphere and some large keygroups that are too big for standalone. I’m coming from a Force, so never used a modern mpc or the software.

Hey, really late to this, but I want to hook my mpc to my laptop, and I downloaded the software days ago, and just found out the problem was I don’t have the driver downloaded. This doesn't work. I don't think this is possible AT ALL for Windows 7 users. There is no good information out there as to why this does not work. No info at all. MPC Software 2.10 does not work for Win7 (it won't let you install it). Last known working version was 2.8.3 I believe (for Windows 7). I don't think even version 2.9 works. MPC Beats does not work for Windows 7 above version 2.8.3. If you want version 2.9 or 2.10, you need Windows 10 (and Akai is not clear about that). I would love to know exactly why controller mode doesn't work with Windows 7. There is no official driver to make this work... you mentioned you need the driver. But WHERE is it, and which number is needed? When you download the 2.8.3 update it just says "Update MPC"... it gives you no options. Just an exe file. My One is on 2.10.1 (the hardware). My MPC Software, can't update it beyond 2.8.3, because again, it will only install to Windows 10. Can anyone shed some light on this? Will it ONLY work on Windows 10? I hate Windows 10, and have no plans on upgrading to it. Thanks for any help!!
