58 days without marijuana!!! I am finally feeling soooo much better. I walk more motivated, disciplined, better memory, learn faster, sleep much better and wake up earlier before the alarm. I have also been taking N-Acetyl Cysteine (1200 mg daily), and I feel that it has helped a lot to get rid of the urge to smoke AND DRINK ALCOHOL. Don't give up, it's hard at first, but then what comes next is worth it.

In my case, the first 20 days I took sublingual CBD drops (20 mg every night) then it was not necessary. Physical exercise with weights and jogging was the best thing to increase my adrenaline and dopamine. At the beginning maximum 100 mg of caffeine, now I can take 200 mg. Keeping busy studying programming was essential to have a clear goal. Sunbathing, meditating and having a social life with loyal and supportive friends was very important. Reading in the evenings to relax and avoid screens. Social media only made it worse, the best thing would be to use it in VERY MODERATION.

Congrats! I’m addicted to social media too. I deactivated my personal but kept my business page for obvious reasons but still scroll and post nonsense smh. I can’t wait to be clean and sober from everything. Where did you get that supplement from? Do you think you can stay sober without it?
@metemc90
@metemc90 Жыл бұрын
@@AmandaCC88 I suppose any CBD (Cannabidiol) could work. And of course I could have gotten clean without the supplement, it just helps a little. The most important thing is to know that the discomfort will be momentary, then the withdrawal wears off and you start to feel much better 🙌.

Dr Frank, your channel has been a silent weapon in my war on quitting weed. I am on the same boat as many, smoked for many many years. 27 years old, to be 28 in 1 month, I am pushing to be off it weed by the end of the month or even but my birthday. Having a clear mindset is so important in the world we are in now, especially if I try to be the best father I can be for my daughter. I've been just consuming these videos while I work and have ear buds in, or driving. I've been watching and rewatching your shorts, they're super confident and informative. Thanks Dr for your help on this mission.

BRILLIANT DUSTY it might be something I might try. But instead of biking ima take the dogs to the local river. Actually upon quitting today I set myself a goal. If I'm still not smoking by tomorrow (day off all I used to do was smoke weed) if I last even an hour I'm going to drive to the river with my dogs and go for a swim. I haven't done that in years all I would do is smoke pot.❤.

I’ve struggled with marijuana more than anything else in my entire life. I broke three vertebrae in a skiing accident, spinal fusion with paralysis that I eventually made a full recovery from. Spent years addicted to opiates, but one day just quit. No problem. Weed however I’ve quit and relapsed countless times, lost decades of my life to it. I am about to turn 39 in a month and told myself I would give me the gift to have 30 days sober. I’ve been panicking because I failed so many times, but listening to these videos makes me realize I’m not alone with my problems, not uniquely weak with my faults. @@tamarafeliciano39 read Rational Recovery. It’s an amazing book and concept. It does away with standard AA style treatment, something I’ve ALWAYS found to be odd, cult like and simply “not for me”, and instead makes it INCREDIBLY simple and empowering. I’ll do a bad job paraphrasing but; We drink/drug because we chose to, that’s it. We give into the “ADDICTIVE VOICE” because we can’t separate it from ourselves. When we relapse, it’s because our addictive voice takes over, we take a back seat, while under the illusion that the addictive voice is our own weakness. RR helps the reader to understand what the AV is (a beast/not us), and teaches tool to understand the difference. I’ve been sober 4 days now, and whenever I feel the urge, I mentally separate the urge(Addictive Voice) from myself and my desires. It becomes something to listen to (and ignore) rather than who we are… like an annoying coworker for example lol Also, I’m guessing your name is Tamara? I’m going to be blunt. You have kids now, the time to be selfish died the moment you became a parent. You had your time, now your time is theirs, as is your example of living. Make yourself proud, make them proud, and refocus your priorities. How would you feel if your children lost years, or decades of their life to substance-abuse because of the example you set? It’s a simple choice, stop using drugs, now.

I'm free of weed 8 months. 6 years away from alcohol. My brain is definitely damaged. I likely will never be 100 % of the original version of me. I had unchecked trauma before partaking at 16 years old. I was bullied and abandoned by family and friends. I got high to mask the pain. I'm sober at 42 years old and am officially dealing with my past. I am now trying to avoid fast food and p orn. This is not easy. I'm alone, and I know why. I am doing what is needed. I'm in school now and believe I will find a spouse soon. No more p orn and fast food. Sleep, water, and working out.

I am on day 5 of weed and nicotine withdrawal (I smoked tons of tobacco and weed for 16 years) . Since I changed weed+nicotine for the hobby of weightlifting, the quitting is not so bad at all until now I have to say. I have full appetite because of the training and no headache or bad mood, which I find crazy. Day two was a little rough, but there are so much worse feelings than that in life. Everytime a craving comes, I just remember myself of the unhealthy wet cough, the sudden occurrence of anxiety ( which I neaver had when I started smoking weed btw) and that I want to be healthy and gain muscles. I also remember myself that it never gave me the high I wanted in the end. So I know it´s just is no fun, but my new hobby is! 🙂 So try to find something new, something better than smoking weed and/or tobacco!

Hey! I just want to tell thank you for your videos. Breaking down the withdraw symptoms per days and explaining in detail what my brain, body and mind will experience when I will commit to quit, really helped me to prepare myself mentally, even though I have been watching your videos for more than over a year till I actually committed but here is me on 5th day sober, even though I relapsed last week on day four, I am not stoping to try. I have been smoking weed for 21 years, I have used it to become numb and avoid feeling emotions I just need to go through. I found a professional addiction specialist and also going to therapy now. I watch your videos to keep myself educated and inspired to finally quit my old sister Marry Jane. I finally want to get to know myself sober. It's so weird not to know who I actually am sober - I am 34 now and I am ready, finally. Thank you for your work. It really helps people around the globe. Greetings from Latvia!

Did you fold yet? If not then i'd say just drink water when you feel you want to eat but have no desire to eat a full meal. You need water a lot more than food, and hypothetically if you just drank water for 2 weeks until the hunger symptoms subsided you'd be alive and well anyways, so just wait till youre hungry for real. Day 1 no weed or nic, I threw up 2 pieces of bacon I had for breakfast, I haven’t been eating much but I know I have to eat. I’m kinda hopeless things will every get better, I dug myself into this hole, and I know it’s gonna be hard to get myself out, this is the hardest I’ve ever had to work in my life. I need to do this for my health but am terrified of relapsing because it means I restart the hardest part of addiction.

What do I do when I already did so much while I smoked weed? I already had a schedule, multiple hobbies, a good job, a good relationship, 3.5K minutes of meditation achieved, I meal prep, I read, I study coding and even build mobile applications, all of it while high. I am currenlty in day 3 and now I have 0 desire to do anything, I just want to watch TV to not think about how bad I feel without marijuana. I was able to code for hours while high and now I cant concentrate for more than 30 minutes. My girlfriend tells me that she sees how marijuana gives me a lot of drive and helps my mood. There is still a part of me that believes that I am somehow not able to fullfil my full potential because of weed but I am now on day 3 and it feels like I won't be able to function without weed. It such a confusing mental state. When I get high I feel more drive for some reason.

I am the same weed can give me motivation, however it can be tiring relying on it for your motivation instead of just having it intrinsically. The answer is that three days in you are in a dopamine deficit and enjoying things without weed won't come without a few more days or a week without smoking weed. However once you do feel pleasure without it, it feels refreshing and you can see if you feel motivated to do your work.

@@theomardell5430Facts after about two weeks you begin to feel happy and pleasure again and then you realize it's without weed and you didn't have to spend money to feel it and it is the best feeling.

What really made me give up weed was trying to stay out of jail. You can either stay clean and not end up in jail on probation or you can smoke and be forced to get clean while in Jail.

Hi Benji, I would say it is the same process as in all of the videos. 50/50's are my choice also, and I cannot do one without the other, so they both have to go at the same time. Good luck Man!
