I missed myself so much. I missed my sharp wit, my sense of humor. I had become so numb and found humor in the stupidest things. Being high all the time was changing me, and it got to the point where I would be high and fantasizing about quitting and being the clear-headed Nicole again. I was so tired of having to be stoned to do anything and tired of missing out on doing things that I used to do but stopped because it wouldn't be appropriate if I was stoned and buzzed. I've got 9 months alcohol and weed free this month, and I've had the opportunity to work through some super heavy stuff clean and sober. I had many chances to throw in the towel, but I didn't, and I'm so proud of myself. This chapter started with me finding Dr. Frank on KZbin and finding the courage to quit. I'm so damn grateful. Life isn't easy, but it's worth living with clarity. ✌️

@@davidsmith-fs9og Thanks for advice mate, I really appreciate that. Tbh I’m lucky bastard as in my case it’s just about the psychological issue. I don’t have any physical issues as I have quite strict routine (doing sports daily, eating healthy food, having proper sleep 21:00-5:00). The thing is that I just used to smoke weed few times a day and it has become a part of my routine despite my good life style. Otherwise you are totally right. Especially taking shower few times a day is my all times favorite.

Another real reason i quit is because 4 and half months ago i gave my life to Jesus Christ 🙏 and i realize that as a Christian its really not okay to smoke weed. Yes god made it, god made poison ive he doesnt say to go smoke or rub it all over yourself. I really have to protect my temple(my body, which is my body of god that he made). Man this is amazing. I started smoking right before my grandpa got sick with lung cancer and died. Today is the day he passes away exactly 9 years ago... June 8th ... And weed kind of kept me from going completely crazy because when he passed of course i was stoned....i didnt really know how to react you know? I still had my first bag of weed, it was the strain agent Orange ill never forget it, and when he had the lung cancer he even smoked a little bit only for the medicinal benefit to try to help his pain. And while one time he was sitting on the front porch smoking a joint i was secretly high off weed...and one time in the hospital some how he just knew i was smoking beacuse when me and my dad went outside for my dad to smoke a cigarette my grandpa literally said "no smoking no marijuana" at thar point is when i knew he knew i was smoking. Hes definitely proud of me now i bet because he did not want me smoking that stuff. Yes it has its benefits but for me there arent none anymore. Not sure in the future if ill ever smoke again but for now theres no way i even want it around me. I went through so much just quitting weed and man is it good to get over the nightmares and have real dreams again. I love every single person watching this video. Jesus loves all of you so much. All glory to his Holy name.

So now I have my debit card back and I'm doing all this stuff that I've been procrastinating like updating the address on my license, practicing guitar, going out with friends, just real not hermity stuff. Good luck friends! Giving your friend your debit card for a week may work for you

Super Helpful video, Dr. Frank! You quit weed to regain control of your life, have much more motivation and sleep much better. Weed will make you tired, lethargic and give you panic attacks, anxiety issues, and poor decision-making ability. If you smoke weed, you'll be smoking tar and damaging your lungs. There is so much more to life without weed, it's how life was meant to be lived. Wishing you all the best to you on your journey!👋❤

I am addicted to something that always goes lousy; always; always. At the end of each binge, I am always lousy from it. I could do a whole lot better than this, and I am getting excited about becoming a whole new sober me when I finish the last bit of weed at the bottom of the bag. It is a dirty filthy habit with nasty repercussions, especially from excesses, which my addiction always orchestrates. For me it is just trouble on top of trouble, and it always has been; that is, if I am being honest...... I will know that God who is greater than my addiction.

Anyone that uses weed "all day long" needs to STOP doing that! That's who this person is talking to, and I agree! But, to those who use it sparingly, I'm sure they don't quite understand what he's talking about. Believe me, there are those people who use it and enjoy it, and, probably because they DON'T abuse it, by using it every 15 minutes! Remember one thing, "the LESS you use it, the more you'll enjoy it"!!

Early in my life and addiction the problem was I didn't understand my mind. I lacked a connection to my body, nature and ultimately, God. When I discovered this through meditation, I had the option to be free. My heart goes out to people who are in this state, but only they can discover what is already there.

I finally quit and I’m not going back at age 39 after 15 year of use. Not daily but 3-4 times a week. I would take tolerance breaks but the longest was 1-2 months. I have reactive hypoglycemia and I’m noticing worse blood sugar swings. I wonder if this has anything to do with quitting or maybe I’m just not eating much. Is this related to quitting at all? I’m def more anxious currently but hoping it will pass. My husband says in the past when I would take tolerance breaks he says I would act way more chill and calm. Weed used to be fun euphoria high but it’s just started to men me way to tired and lazy and not have many other hobbies.

I had the same thing where I would get used to play videogames high and it would be awesome for sure, very immersive. And daily activities would be more fun too. BUT believe me, normal things will be cool again after a while. Your body is used to high levels of dopamine, so your body is regulating that. Best thing you can do is cold turkey and even try to reduce dopamine activities like scrolling ,playing videogames and stuff like that for a while, it will help your dopamien receptors reset. And don't go back to weed or you'll end up inthe same situaiton after a couple weeks.

Thank you for this video Dr Frank. Appreciate your realness. I was in denial and didn't even know I had a problem w weed. I would have a pre roll a few times a week while walking my dog and maybe an edible to help me sleep ....I wanted to pick up a side job and told myself I need to quit at least for a month in order to pass a possible drug test. If it wasn't for applying for that job, which I didn't get by the way... I would have never known the effects weed was having on me. The withdrawals were crazy, countless sleepless nights and night sweats...but here we stand, 32 days later...and no desire of returning to a habit I didn't even know was brutally effecting who I was. Thank you Dr Frank. Had I not stumbled upon your channel, I would not have known what I was experiencing were with withdrawals. @hhslf If you are repairing your bike every week after a marathon, you don't need papers to tell other people how to repair a bike. Experience is what makes you good at something. Every smoker will agree with him from experience.

@@Rectorbis Comparing repairing a bike with something as complicated, difficult, and serious as quitting an addictive substance is dumb. There's a reason doctors are licensed and have years of education and bike mechanics don't have the same requirements. Not knocking bike mechanics at all. Your thought that every smoker would agree is also misguided. It's not about whether experience qualifies someone. I don't disagree that AddictionMindset gives good advice based on his experience. But it's dishonest and misleading for him to hold himself out as a doctor in a medical context when he doesn't have the qualifications that suggests. I just think he should take this a bit more seriously and not misrepresent things. But that might conflict with him selling gum and advice to desperate people.

Weed? You people are too soft. How will you quit heroin? But there's topic for everything I guess.

Lmao um maybe because they will never try heroin? 😂 cannabis regulates a ton of body functions with your ecs. Mood, appetite, sleep, etc. people who use cannabis heavy daily for years are not soft for feeling like it is wreaking havoc on them to quit. It literally physically affects you. It’s not just mental.

@@craigtucker777 you don't know what you're talking about dude. Even caffeine or nicotine will have withdrawals. ANything that you're used to taking every day to feel better or to accomplish anything is an addiction, and the longer you consume it, the harder it is on your mind to let go.

I have quit smoking weed for a week now and I have experienced the symptoms that you describe in your video. I smoked for 55 years, a half ounce a week and I do feel better but I can’t play video games anymore because they are tied together and find it boring now. I am doing this because I don’t get high anymore. The best weed after 1 day I don’t get the same buzz. Immunity. Waste of money!!!

I had the same thing where I would get used to play videogames high and it would be awesome for sure, very immersive. BUT believe me, videogames will be cool again after a while. Your body is used to high levels of dopamine right now, and videogames themselves are one of the most dopamine intensive activites, and on top of that you smoked. So your body is regulating dopamine levels in your brain. Best thing you can do is cold turkey and even try to reduce dopamine activities like scrolling ,playing videogames and stuff like that for a while, it will help your dopamien receptors reset. You'll go back to enjoying regular stuff a lot more. And don't go back to weed or you'll end up in the same situation after a couple weeks. Trust me
