I love whiteboards. I work in IT and many people make fun because I constantly use "offline" tools like whiteboard, sketches etc. But it really makes sense to use analogue tools to sketch and develop ideas, then digital to document and detail. Would love to see the whole nerd-segment about sticky-note glue, whiteboard material etc :D

Hi Christian, thanks for sharing! Glad that being on #teamwhiteboard has helped you so much 🤗 Regarding recommendations on supplies, here are Jake's comprehensive checklists for physical and digital sprints (all heavily whiteboard-driven): www.thesprintbook.com/supplies www.thesprintbook.com/articles/remote-design-sprint-guide -Christine

Excellent subject! The magic of the whiteboard is in making it easier for the brain to review and analyze the subject while it is being explained, increasing retention. And the act of erasing the content also sends commands to the mental process. To master the art of using the whiteboard it is necessary to use it routinely as a personal tool and repeat it many times to learn the best way to express the content. Over time its use becomes fluid and natural. That's why teachers are the greatest masters of efficient use of this important tool.

I would suggest a video on doing research. It is most of the time a messy process. It allows much room for flexibility, so ironically it sometimes makes us less controlled over the information coming in. How could a great amount of information be organized so that we can save our time from not knowing what to use because of overwhelming info?

Another great video Christine and HBR. I'm a huge fan of whiteboards, physical and digital but must admit some guilt in bringing the full suite of marker colours to some meetings! I'd like to hear about hot desking. Where it works, where it doesn't and how to handle it should your company decide to introduce it.

I miss whiteboards - all meetings are virtual now. Digital boards don't seem the same. Have whiteboard wall (painted) at home and family uses for notes and brainstorming. Great video 👍

I loved this video. Thanks. :) If you're still reading these comments - I want to use a white board for my KZbin channel. Do you have anything. (I'm not wanting to use a digital whiteboard but an "old-fashioned" one. I used to use them in my classroom and like them. Any thoughts? (I don't yet know enough to ask any lucid questions.)

Wow. This was helpful. I used to complain about whiteboards, but now, this got me interested to use them more in my lectures :) LOL. Guess, I was a bit old school think " blackboards" are way cooler, the ones we write with " white chalk". Many Asian schools have them.

3:52 To call it pessimism is a REALLY bad conotation, you're actually doing something GREAT cause otherwise you're playing chess without looking at what the opponent is doing and is as noob or scrub and dangerous as it gets. That's why i dont even think in those terma and see as a natural part of planning, at least call it Premeditateo Malorum or Self Defense or think in terms of counters.

I don't think it's necessary that everyone uses a Whiteboard. Sure, it might be useful in some scenarios, but using it for every meeting doesn't make sense, because that really depends on the purpose of the meeting, and selected tools need to support the cause. Instead, curate a selection of tools that are required as part of the preparation process, and share that with participants before the session. Let's be creative and imaginative, rather than getting everyone to work in the same way or fashion, which eventually becomes boring and pointless :)

Good, we can take photo on the mobile and help Prof. exercising fingers and breath the toxin chemicle into their lungs cause lung cancer in the future.Pros 1.Easy to correct when miswritten 2.Easy to follow if not understand fully can turn back.3.Rehearsal hand writting on black board.4.Concentrate student to attend on secret point of course.5.Every student can see clearly no matter where they seat front or end, left or right.6.Agree with, but worry about Prof. health in the long run.7.Some have the right fingers bigger than the left but not much.

I dont even hv a degree, but if someone would tell me to improvise a talk on how to use whiteboards smartly i would deliver a talk/presentation that is bit more exciting than this. I hvnt viewed much on this channel but i first got more interested/excited when i saw her title as innovation editor and that he has written some books with cool names, maybe thats how people accept/buy the content... im more for blackboards. (and yeah my grammer or sentence structure + spelling is on lazy mode right now, i hope yall are ok with that. but yeah come on hardvard) and i think colorful sticky notes might trick the mind but done right they might help the mind too, or?
