When you removed the cowl did you have more access to the fire wall? Specifically the area where the oem wiring harness connects to the drive side of the firewall?

Can you tell me what the cover towards the front of the engine is called? You have to take it off to take the front bumper off and I can't find what its called anywhere. thanks!!

Oh my gosh! Why didn't you take the time to clean that area and the cowling? The reason I watched this video was so I could occasionally get debris out of that area.

Thank you 1A Auto for the tutorial. Crappy design by Toyota. I have to do all that just to clean out the clogged drainage area. Should’ve just put on a little service flap so we can easily clean the clogged area! Heavy down pour the past week and because of the clogged area my interior is now a small pond that wreaks of mold and mildew.🤦‍♂️😡

Its now 2022 and my 2015 rav4 has cowl cleaning to do.. Not as many leaves as before..i added foam at the sides by hinges to stop leaves only 1 this time..but the accuulated muck from yard blowers was gross.. I had to run my hand blindly on inside walls to remove the gook.. vac, car wash rag, compressed air, And carefully add water to get passages clear.. Air comressor assured clear passages..Let the area soak after a vac.. The dirt accululated must loosen to remove.. I just finished doing this.. Bird poop where do you think it goes to heaven ...nope it piles up in your cowl silly.. along with twigs dirt pine needles etc.. i refuse to breath poop..
