Excellent reference. Thank you very much. I recently had to install "rear fog lights" after shipping my car to PT, so I got a crash course in how to remove the panels under the car to run the wires. I wasl tempted to buy the $500+ replacement stereo since I've got a 2019 without Android Auto, but driving in PT is not as enjoyable and relaxing as it was in the USA.

Thank you! We don't have this video yet. But it should be fairly straightforward. Wiper arms need to be removed. There are a number of pins and clips that hold the cover in place.

Thanks for this very useful video, very much appreciated! I own a 2023 RAV4 that is similar as the USA XLE Premium. As you may or may not know, the 2022/2023 models destined for the EU lack AM recepion, something I complained about to Toyota, to no avail. So what I want to do is replace the existing Panasonic head unit with an Australian OEM head unit. Everything I want is still available and the radio will function good as all parameters are the same for use in Europe. Only thing is AM is not present in the batch of cars produced in 2022/2023 (now AM has returned by the way in later models of the XA50). So I need to know where the AM antenna sits, I bet it sits in the rear door window but I’m not sure. And I will need another wire harness no doubt. Mainly the one that goes into the head unit, my existing one has only an FM socket, no DIN or the like. I know this will be a challenge, not only cost wise. But I know there are already a lot of totalled XA50’s in Australia so it must be possible to obtain one of those head units. I hope you can shine some light on this as Toyota is not cooperative at all…Greetings from Holland, bye, Willem.

Hi, thank you for your comment. In terms of removal and installation of certain parts, there is no any specific meaning to the colour of the clips. The main goal is to try not to break or loose them. They all have to go back in place or need to be replaced if you accidentally broke any.

Was there a reason for disassembling the steering column area with the power on? Am installing a wired brake controller for trailer (please save the "can't tow enough weight to need" comments, my state requires for all trailers rated 3000 lbs GVWR, regardless of actual trailer weight), need to install a relay under that left side panel in the footwell, so it doesn't trigger the precollision warning system, etc.
