its not the 4 clips behind the controls that are the issue, its the 3 clips above them, right up against the lcds' bottom edge. its like they are put there specifically to be inaccessible and tear the plastic apart.. but worse, it threatens the LCD during removal, a lot of pressure on that thin wafer of glass. i cracked an LCD today. learned the hard way that its its a $2800 part. its an f'n stupid design, far too many clips and way too far from the edges.. 20 of the buggers, 1/3 of them right int eh middle.. other brands get by with 6 or 8, and only around the edges. i suspect its engineered to make profit offa workshops.

I feel the pain, nothing worse then breaking panels or trims in this game then having to explain to the customer I do feel like some of the car manufacturers design stuff to break or not to last. All these new radios generally fail after 3-5 years and need to be designed to be removed easily for replacement
