Josh. You are one of the few and far between breed of farmers who clean out their quick connects before you install the loader or implements. A few microns of dirt goes a long way to chewing up a hydraulic system, or worse yet.. causing a safety issue because of grit stuck in a poppet valve. Cheers from NS, Canada.

I almost didn't watch this video because I have an orange tractor, but I'm glad I did, there is still useful information here. You should do a similar video of this process on the B3350, it's much simpler. And another advantage is that the Kubota connections are horizontal so water doesn't pool in them. Keep it up with the great content!

The valve is for locking the front loader I think so like if you were cutting net wrap or something and if you turn that you can go up and Down. And also not saying you are doing something wrong but around our farm we leave the implements on the ground. Love the videos keep it up 👍

I believe the valve locks the hyd sys to prevent drift when unhooked and prevent back pressure when hooking up. Bad design by JD to have female hyd ends facing up when unhooked to collect dirt and water .should be horizontal. Great vids.

Josh, I believe the valve is to lock the cylinder in place so when you relieve the pressure on the system (engine off) prior to disconnecting the hoses the loader doesn’t drop back down. Also after you hook them back up you’ll have to turn the valve open again after you plug the hoses back in.

You have 6 line on the loader. So you have boom/bucket ( 4 lines ) and an auxiliary may be for a grapple. Do you have a switch on the Deere like the Kubota ? You could just plug your baler door on the 2 line of the auxiliary valve without having to remove the loader.
@StoneyRidgeFarmer6 жыл бұрын
So I have a switch to install on the tractor..it's a project coming soon this winter...I remove the loader because it's just easier to get out of the way...takes 2 seconds to remove it...baler is heavy..saves fuel when mowing and baling and raking

John Deere offers an add on second valve and control for rear of tractor......It is shown in the 5 E series literature.... We have a 5075 M (cab) 240 loader and a 5045E (rollguard) 512 loader.. for loading 18 bale bundles in dry van trailers..... pressure on cylinders would hinder the connection process so a valve is installed to block pressure from connector Most Krone hay equip is similarly equipped
@smoothbore43776 жыл бұрын
I thing the whole "quick attach loader" thing, is a solution in search of a problem. I NEVER feel the need to REMOVE the loader, on any of my tractors. The only tractor I have that DOESN'T have a loader, is a 18 hp Yanmar mower, ... and I'm thinking about putting one on there too.
@kfstreich47876 жыл бұрын
In tight situations it is handy and I used to mow for hire, it was nice to take 1500# off the front end, and in winter the extra weight on the front tires tears the ground up. I'd prefer 2 or 15 tractors, I had one really nice one...

Hi, What breed are your dogs? My german shepherd K9, the one in my avatar photo in fact, died 01 APR 2018. Her loss was big for me. Anyhow, I am ready to find a new companion and am looking for something a bit smaller than she was. Belgian Mal is one option but they are expensive as hell and as a disabled Veteran now, can't really afford the price they come in at (another reason I probably cannot get another pure bred shepherd). Yours look like they have shepherd in them but something else as well so am wondering what breed they are to see if I can perhaps locate something similar.
@StoneyRidgeFarmer6 жыл бұрын
Both are GSD...we plan to breed them in the spring...pups are about $1200 though....that's what we paid for them
@Bammsaidthelady6 жыл бұрын
looks to me like that valve is just a lock. When the valve is parallel to the hose its open and when its perpendicular its locked. We have similar ones on our implements. They just lock the pressure in the hoses. They are particularly handy on air seeders when you're moving down the road the cultivator wont drop if the valve is locked...unless the hose leaks. I'm probably the 15th person to answer this lol.

The simple solution to "sharing" a hydraulic remote for when you bale, is to put a "T" in the loader circuit that controls the tilt on the bucket. Yes, the bucket will roll when you operate the baler door, ... but, ... so what ?

I'd say this simply...we bought a John Deere because it was less expensive, ran smoother, drove nicer, had a bigger more comfy operator station and overall seemed to be the best bang for our buck...as for parts and service...JD has 4 places I can go for parts and service withing 1/2 hour...NONE OF THE OTHER MANUFACTURERS CAN MATCH THAT... I'm not addicted to "green paint" but I do like that I can get parts easily and JD has taken pretty good care of me..don't care about the paint...if the machine get's the job done

Ive made alot of money as a repair welder because replacement parts can be outrageous. I dont deny that they have alot of dealerships and most are well stocked and overall good. They also definitely have some good products. But it also costs alot of overhead to stock that stuff and keep making those parts. I dont think cost of ownership is any better than any other brand in the long run. My $8000 loader tractor is nothing fancy, but it does the same work. Yeah, new and easy is nice, id just rather spend money elsewhere.

I used to turn the tractor off and run the joystick through all positions a couple times before connecting the hydraulic lines, you bleed off all the pressure and make connecting easier, sometimes they would put up a real fight. Can you remove all the connections and place the males on the base facing up? It seems a bit backwards to have the females there. Even using caps the dirt and water still seem to find a way in.
