Most helpful! Well documented, clear, and to the point. Helped me with a broken link I had to repair. I found that the pin comes in two parts. One hollow thicker one that sits inside larger hole of link, and then you assemble the two links, then slide the thin longer pin inside the two links and the hollow one. Tap, tap, tap, done! Very nice. No more hunting for watch repair guys and having to wait and pay. Many thanks!

I really would appreciate your response to this question... How do you remove the lug pins that are standard on the Helm Komodo? They seem quite chunky and I can't remove them to fit the bracelet strap which came with the watch. Looking forward to your swift and positive response. Cheers

Finally, a god damn video that says right up front whether to push with the arrows or against the arrows, to remove. I still can't get these the fuck out, but at least I know I'm trying to push them the right way before I start. It may be easy as pie to remove these on a brand new watch, but on a used watch they are bent from wear into a C shape, pressed in the wrong direction, etc....

I had to do this job on my citizen promaster BN0150-61E diver. A bit trickier than the watch in the video. If anyone is reading this with the same watch as me be careful, the collars are inside the center portion of the links and will fall out. They will only fit in one side and should not offer an resistance so if you have to push a collar hard then you are putting it in the wrong place. My final tip, use a pin pusher tool for reassembly. A hammer may work but I recommend a cheap pin pusher.

My watch strap is broken it's missing a bar from a link with no arrows on it how can I replace this bar

I popped the pin out and when I replaced it , it doesn’t stay in. Slides out. Any suggestions . Maybe get a wider pin. The push pin I used did get stuck. So I’m guessing I widened the hole somehow. The watch is a movado bold. Any help is greatly appreciated

You’ve likely got a pin and collar bracelet. I’m guessing you’ve lost the tiny collar that sits in the hole

When you install the link which way does the pin go in? Does the split end of the pin go in first in the same direction as the arrow?
@Esslinger
@Esslinger 8 жыл бұрын
+Tin Nguyen Push split end to remove - push on solid end (hammer) to insert

+Esslinger.com when you remove the link the arrows should face down. When you install do the arrows still face down or up?
@TinNguyen-rx3mf
@TinNguyen-rx3mf 8 жыл бұрын
+Tin Nguyen +Tin Nguyen please let me know if this is correct. When removing, the arrows should face down and you push or hammer the split ends. When installing, the arrows should face up and you push or hammer the solid ends.

+Tin Nguyen * Correct * The pins should only fit in one side so if they do not go in at all, dont force them.

I’ve a problem. When removing the pins I actually used the pin pusher to push the pins out the wrong way and now they’re stuck no matter what I try. Is there a solution to fix this?

if there is an odd number or only one link to remove, which side of band should be longer and which should be shorter??
@Esslinger
@Esslinger 7 жыл бұрын
Zero, It should not make a big difference for a single link. Just check that the watch sits well on your wrist when you look at it and adjust accordingly.

confused - we push into the seam, or push onto the end with no seam?

You push in the direction of the arrow when taking them out.

@TheTrippyCity
@TheTrippyCity 3 жыл бұрын
@@MCSS7 the pin has two sides, the side with the little "seam" is the bottom. You push on the opposite side with no seam. To replace the pin, you would turn the watch band to seam side up and place the pin back in.

Using a metal hammer on a steel bracelet... Guys, don't do this at home (use any special jewelry hammer with plastic/rubber head), unless you want to risk scratching your bracelet.
