Thank you so much for your video!! This is an update on my attempt to remove the freezer drawers in order to clean the floor of the freezer. If anyone just wants to clean their freezer, I can give some advice, thanks to your video. I did not remove the upper bin, it was too difficult to push those tabs in. I couldn't do it. So, I just wiped that bin clean. I did remove the door. My son used his drill to reverse and loosen the screws. Just loosen them, no need to take them out. Perfect. With the door removed, I was able to remove the bottom bin and wash it out. With the bottom bin removed, I was able to get down on my knees and clean out the floor and walls of the freezer. I put the bottom bin and door back. Viola! Clean freezer. I'm going to COSTCO now to get chicken melts to celebrate! Mahalo nui loa.

Dear anticommoncore4065, I'm with you 100% And I really found this video exactly what I needed to get that big bottom drawer back in place. My wife took it out for cleaning (I have no idea how that was even possible) without removing the freezer door or the top sliding rack. When asked to slip it back in... I was not able to do it. @@SeeDubbleYew We were able to remove the top drawer, and from there we were able to manipulate the divider so it came out. We may have used a flat head screwdriver as a lever.

🤩You the man !! thank you, I have the model with the icemaker on the top left but the freezer door, the same. It's getting pretty grimey underneath that bottom drawer & just couldn't figure how to get it out...Thanks so much !! Fyi, I had to replace my icemaker about a year also...I hate the damn ice maker as much as I love the frig! It wakes up the dead when dispensing, but moreover it continually jams when 3 cubes do not separate leaving the freeze tray. After replacing, it does the same thing...any thoughts ?

Thanks for watching! Glad I could help! As for the jamming ice, make sure that the ice maker is installed as level as possible. If it's tilted too much to one side it can cause problems. I don't have a great way of getting jamming ice unclogged. It's happened to me and I have used a hairdryer to melt excess clogged ice to loosen it up but it takes a while. I let it melt a bit and gently chisel it away using a screwdriver. Best of luck!

Thanks, your video was a great help removing the drawers. They seemed to go back in place relatively easy. Unfortunately, they aren’t aligned properly and I can’t figure out what went wrong. The top drawer gears seem louder than before and it’s causing some sort of jam with the bottom drawer. I’ve taken both out and reinstalled carefully. No luck. If I remove top drawer the bottom seems to work properly. Back to the drawing board😢

This is a great video BUT honestly, Whirlpool needs to make it much easier than that !! Shouldn’t have to take the entire door off. I need to clean the very bottom and there is not way to easily get to it without removing the drawers. So I am just leaving all the crumbs in place.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a nuisance trying to depress the two side tabs on the top rack as even depressed it was tricky to pull them up. My bottom freezer is finally clean now and I haven’t bothered to push the tabs back down or replace the side screws as the door alone will keep the rack from being pulled all the way out. What a poor design; obviously by someone who never cleans out their freezer😅

Thank you very much for this video!! But to Whirlpool: I had to search online and on KZbin for instructions on how to get the bins out (including for the bins in the refrigerator section) because you say nothing about it in your manual. I guess you dont want to tell people that they would need a mechanic to do it! How do you expect the consumer (I am a 76 yr old lady) to clean her refrige (required if you use a refrigerator)? I do not recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

Thanks. It's no wonder this is not covered in the owners manual. You cannot fish any thing out that dropped from the baskets. Its a full empty of the freezer for starters.
