Back in 1979 when I bought my 1st 356, a 63B my drivers window didn't work. Dealers would sell me a new replacement regulator but $$$ so I took my broken pivot pin to a local machine shop and they made me a new one and I fixed my regulator as you have and saved myself a lot of money, which was scarce being 29 with a new wife and 1st kid. Great video as always.

Well done. You avoided the Porsche tax!

Great work as always! Flights have come down a bit. If they drop just a little more (and you have an opening) I may just make it out. Fingers crossed.

Great video as always, Tom. And, I feel like your thorough methods of repair and improvement carries over to any method someone would want to use on a 911, et al.

Thanks, and yes it seems 911 regulators are very similar.

Nice job, the springs normally take a larger preload, I had to make a tool to pre load them. I have found most are 90 degrees of spring compression. 356 WCH is getting close
@GarageTimeAutoRestoАй бұрын
Good to know. I'll move springs around if need be.
@mattk7795Ай бұрын
I agree, I would think you'd want enough preload to keep the window from unwinding over bumps. Thanks for your videos!

Will see, I feel that the forces are pretty neutral as is based on the luggage scale.

Loving the trolls work bench. Is that your kids play room? Mom is gonna be mad!
@GarageTimeAutoRestoАй бұрын
I know right. Kids may have outgrown this, but not me!

Instead of paint why not use Fluid Film?
@GarageTimeAutoRestoАй бұрын
You could. I think paint is longer lasting. Just a very light dusting is all that I did.
