Did you put a jack under the engine first??yes or no serious question
@bigdbassn4489 Жыл бұрын
Nice video thanks! If you just replace the mount on the side of the engine near power steering reservoir,do you need to support the engine from the bottom with a Jack?

No not really

Do you have to support the engine in any way at the bottom when you're doing this?
@Gasdieselgarage4 жыл бұрын
Yes and I highly recommend using a floor jack with a piece of wood in between the jack and oil pan. You got to use the wood so you don’t crack or put a hole in the aluminum oil pan...also using a floor jack helps you support the engine while being able to raise or lower to get the mounts out.
@TaylorMMontgomery4 жыл бұрын
@@Gasdieselgarage so it was fine by supporting the engine on a wood block with a jack by the oil pan?
@Gasdieselgarage4 жыл бұрын
@@TaylorMMontgomery yes absolutely...The wood is the cushion basically with the Weight of the engine being supported on a jack...

Correct lol. The transmission mount under the car
@TheMajinvegetadbz2 жыл бұрын
You call the front one a motor mount when taking it off then when installed, you call it a transmission mount. There's no transmission mounts replaced in this video

Came for transmission mounts. There were none to be found..... plus the TL's have 2 other motor mounts you missed. Might wanna re-name the video
@Gasdieselgarage4 жыл бұрын
Sorry but you’re wrong ...you see in the video there’s 4 mounts...the front is 1 trans mount and the rear mount is another trans mount. Some people do confuse them for engine mounts.
@tc3824 жыл бұрын
@@Gasdieselgarage No, the front you replaced is a motor mount, the trans mounts are under the battery tray and 2 more behind the wheel well on the driver side. There is no confusion here

@@Gasdieselgarage what was tha hose you said had to be connected to the motor mount near the battery/driver side of care? What happens if you don’t connect it? Is that a vacuum hose that’ll throw an engine or other code if not connected?
@Gasdieselgarage3 жыл бұрын
@@axjohn yes absolutely you got to connect that vacuum hose because it operates the active motor mount motion and yes it can throw a check engine light. You won’t feel it while driving but it will annoy the hell out of you with the light on in the dash..

@@Gasdieselgarage what code would it show? Is there a specific code for that hose eg “transmission xxx” or could it result in sporadic engine misfire codes eg p0300-p0306? Thanks for the reply!
