Yo bro, im about to tackle this same task on my Tdi Tiguan. You make it seem so easy. The hydraulic jack, the engine support bar, the gearbox jack make the task so much easier and safer as well. Welldone👌🏻

Amazing video bro! Down to earth and good diagnosis!!!!! Now that I know how to diagnose the throwout bearing I can sleep and rest well knowing that my clutch pedal dropping to the floor is not the clutch slave cylinder throw out bearing. I’m confident that my issue on my 2013 TDI is the master cylinder! Thank you once again!

So was it the throwout bearing/slave cylinder or something else? My pedal is also intermittently going almost to the floor
@richis2fast4u9 ай бұрын
@@SamSamuylik That's what I"m having also. What was yours?
@SamSamuylik9 ай бұрын
@richis2fast4u it was the slave cylinder (throwout bearing) unfortunately. One day it got really bad and I couldn't put it in gear. $280 and a weekend of work I did it in my backyard. (New clutch disc and slave/throwout)

@@SamSamuylik Ok thanks a lot for the feedback. My car had the turbo go out, it sat for a couple months before I had time to replace turbo. Got it all back together finally a couple days ago and on the test drive the clutch pedal is now nearly to the floor. But the turbo is good -_- lol. Always something with these cars lol

Oh nice. You didn’t have to remove or loosen the subframe lol that much space. I worked on a Corolla hatchback, very similar set up. But there’s barely space. I had to remove the subframe to clear it

Using this for my beetle (since there really aren't any good resources on any new beetle (2010+). I guess they don't break often enough lol. Anyways, similar enough other than the Axle portion of the transmission being a pain.

You didn't need to do that if you're changing the whole clutch assembly it doesn't matter which one you buy to put back in they all fit as long as you change the whole assembly and not just the clutch if you was changing the clutch only then you would need to know what make it is

For anyone watching in 2024 you do not have to disconnect your coolant line. It did not get in my way at all. Save your coolant
