How to replace a leaking oil cooler - Mercedes A/B Class (w169/w245) CDI

Here we had a bad oil radiator leak. Oil went all over the engine.
With my tutorial you can easily spare 1000-1500 dollars. Mercedes requires about 1500 dollars for the job.

This is the diesel CDI OM640 engine. I used INA tensioner, Contitech belt and a MB genuine oil cooler. Please subscribe to my channel :-)

Also the added commentary using stills and text to describe certain points is very good. Very easy to understand. Added WIS info such as torque figures is also great 👍 Best video I’ve seen so far showing how to lower the engine. Some of the camera angle are very unique, must be a small camera - worked a treat

Great video, showing how to replace the seal on this component but also how to lower the engine. At @2:44 I would probably just remove the engine mount rather than trying to pry then out of the way. There is only 3 bolts from memory and not difficult to do. Great job 👍

Great video, I have to replace the steering rack on this model W245 and there is no room anywhere. Does the engine and subframe have to be dropped. I looked in WIS and it’s not clear and shows the A class in pics. Any ideas?

Check an italian video made on a w169 by "Il piccolo meccanico" channel. Search for "scatola elettromeccanica". Good luck
