I don't have that cover and I cannot find it in that location. In addition, I don't see the filter housing in that location. All I have is a void there with no filter attached. Any alternatives, maybe?

@@RBTheMechanic 2016 Ram 1500 with 5.7L gas hemi I figured out the issue. The truck didn’t come with a filter. So I had to cut the hole and put a replacement door.

sometimes it might be a good idea to blow it out with air while the filter is removed to see if leaves and other debree is lodged in there and then reinstall the new air filter and then test it out to make sure that everything is working properly.

Yes u can do that but chances are it can go in to other areas and in to blower motor and never come out and make noise when motor spins other wise remove the whole blower motor anyways good tip but it would be best to remove it with hand if u see anything or needle nose player other than that just let the filter do the job for anything else for next time it will come out once it attaches to filter

The Dodge Dealer service put the old filter back in upside down. I'm guessing the guy got mad because I said I will take care of it myself.
