You know when you get a perfect tutorial video, when in 3 minutes you have everything you need to complete your own repair with confidence. Great video - superb audio - perfect description of what to do. Thank you! I'm so used to seeing dark videos, where the person has their hands covering what they need to show, and they sound like they have a microphone across the room under a pillow. Perfect!

The package for these terminals says they are for temporary use only, and they will corrode as much as the ones you cut off. So, unless the old ones are REALLY in bad shape, they will work as well are the new ones, once the corrosion is cleaned off. Still, you did a great job here and with your other videos. Thanks.
@ronski502 жыл бұрын
Once the oem terminals are so badly corroded, they should be replaced. If the replacement terminals corrode after several years, it's easy enough to replace the terminals again.
@mostlymoparih56822 жыл бұрын
I agree. Looking at the video it appears to be a Toyota that he is working on. If the positive cable terminal is broken and needs to be replaced you can get a new terminal without cutting the cable just unscrew the nut. On the 1988-2006 Toyota Corolla's the part number is 90982-05035. It's faster, easier, and not a temporary fix. This style connector is also used on Nissan cables. Happy Motoring. .

Hey man, so I just did this to my car and now I’m not able to get it to turn over at all, it’s just completely dead right now in my driveway. Is it an issue with that additional ground wire that also connects to the negative as well as the wire that connects from the positive side to the starter? I’m super frustrated because all my research just keeps saying “there’s 2 wires, positive and negative.” Although there’s 4 wires in my case. Positive + some wire going to the starter and Negative + the ground wire. Hailp!!!
