Yup. I use Vice grips and screwdrivers on them springs.

Thank you for the video I understood everything except I didn’t understand the adjustment part when you spin the drum and tighten it more or loosen it IDK how tight it should be or how loose the wheel should spin. Great video…….also when you removed the adjuster somewhere in the middle of the video you spinner it to close it or open it I’m not sure what you did.

Once u make the adjustment put the drum on and wheel and give the wheel spin it should do half spin and stop that’s good adjustment

Need help I put everything back together but now the adjuster isn’t clicking when I turn it & also now I have a leak in the cylinder that i didn’t have before. & I can’t get the drum back on now it don’t fit after I put the new shoes on. So I have 3 problems now. What to do?

Unadjusted it put the cylinder back in u maybe went out too far

I've done drum breaks before on my old Dodge spirit. The rear and I know how it can get. When you don't take the Springs out the right order. Etc. And like another poster said using vice grips with screw drivers on the Springs works. Well, thanks for this video I will use it when I work on my scion t c 05

It will leak fluid and air will go on the system then u Will either need to insert the piston back in an bleed the system
