Just a little tip . after unscrewing the cover to get better access to the headlight screws you can push the speedo wire up into your handles from your front mudguard and it will pop the cover off almost completely and make the access a whole lot easier

Hi, is Sealed Beam the same process? Is it just disconnecting the wire and reconnecting the wire than mounting it back on? I have a 1980 Vespa P125X

Hi thanks for the video upload..i love ur channel few days ago I brought a 1979 Vespa 125 P can u please help me out with ur words of wisdom 1st all its hard to shift through the gears I notice. Where gear oil goes that area covers with old oil , back break almost no break , only head light works no signals no horn no neutral light no break lights and. Speedometer not working any suggestions where to start the diagnosis??

Thanks for appreciate my channel. For the gear, try to replace the oil, specially if is old, i have a video on it and it's an easy operation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipLOaJyYir16l6s For the speedometer: first of all check the conncetion cable between the front Wheel and the speedometer. Then check the speedometer it self (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXereZaGqb51rKs it's an Italian video, may be it will give You an Idea) For the Horn check the battery, it will work only with the engine running and the battery connected otherwise It will sound bad but should sound anyway a bit. Check all electric connection and switch. If all is not working may be the mass of the negative cable have some problem. Let me know. I will try give You better idea.

@@ThekkanAD345 There is a general fuse and should be above the battery or close to it. My vespa are of 1993 It could be a bit different from Yours. Or may be the tension regulator.

By the engine, in fact if the engine is not running the light stay off and at low rpm the lamp is not bright.

Simply remove the plastic cover with 2 screw and replace it. To remove the bulb push and turn it.

You mean the lamp bulb? check if You have some short circuit somewhere, or some wire non well insulated. Try to understand if it's happen when rain or is wet (fog).
