I can confirm that to reset the “Replace Filter” indicator for the model: krfc704fps01 You need to hold down the Max Ice and Max Cool buttons at the same time for 3 seconds.

To reset the filter light you have to press max ice and max cool for 3sec at the same.

I replaced filter and held indicator button down 3-5 seconds (& red "change filter" light went off); however, now I have leaking water and no water coming out of door dispenser! Water coming out near filter compartment - so I turned "max chill" off. So, of course, I can't have ice either! Got a question, the ice maker has an on/off indicator button with a straight line at the top (which I think means ice machine on) and a circle beneath the straight line (which I think means off). Could this ice maker on/off switch have anything to do with leaking water?

Hi Diane Owens. The switch shouldn't cause any leaking to occur. It's just to turn the ice production on and off. If the refrigerator was purchased from Abt please give us a call. We can check to see if it's still under warranty and get a service call set up.

Bryan Blaszczyk hi: the "indicator button" I was speaking showed up on the computer messages on the door. If you call Kitchenaid head quarters, they can talk you thru most problems or recommend a local repairman( which is reasonable cost or free if still under 1 year warranty). The reason my water leaked after replacing water filter turned out to be that I had not tightened it correctly. And my computerized "indicator button" red light was trying to tell me that! There is a lot of 'little' things to learn about these new- fangled appliances. Keep all instruction manuals & call Kitchenaid helpline!!! Hope you get problem solved.

Changed filter as shown in video. The red light saying "change filter" is still on. Does that mean that I didn't install the new filter properly. I heard it click in place. Help please.

Hi Kay. After you install the filter you'll generally need to hold down the indicator button on the display (near the red light) for 3-5 seconds to reset that light. It's not the exact same process for every refrigerator so if that doesn't work you'll want to consult the owner's manual for your specific model. Thanks for watching! -Carl

The leaking water stopped when I twisted new filter a little tighter. I'm still working on getting ice. On off button was correct with straight line indicating "on". Have run 3 gallons thru line; & turned fridge off for 5 minutes to reset computer. Called Kitchenaid, who were easy to talk to, but that took 40 minutes due to long holds! At least they had cool mood music. Still in limbo, waiting 24 hours to see if icemaker kicks in. If not Kitchenaid said might require repairman visit. Have owned it less than a year.
