Brand doesn’t matter nearly as much as material. Unless you are interested in more expensive upgraded pads that offer better braking performance I would go with ceramic (same material as OEM) to keep your braking performance as close to stock as possible.

I've had good luck with Akebono, I think they might be the OEM supplier anyway.

When u stated Anti-squeal, is that the same as Brake lubricant?

silicone grease works well for both

No, you need a scan tool to replace rear brake pads with epb

I don't know about any other years, but for the 2013, the parking brake is inside the drum. So you don't have to do anything special when changing the discs.

@@reynosobrakes9741 I just did mine no problem. Just disconnect the electric plug near the drum, hand turn the motor gear till it stops ( pretty sure clockwise facing from behind the wheel) , easy remove the electric motor, press the piston all the way in with screwdriver, remove and replace pads. Re assemble and your all set. 🌲🕯️🕯️

@@Hundert1 in2013 model it is just actuating drum brake inside you just don't put parking brake on and you can replace rotor drum with no special steps the next generation has motor on brake pads

Use a torque wrench set to spec for the bolt you are tightening.

the bolts that hold whole bracket on need a lot of force like 50 ft lbs. the ones for the caliper with slide pins are low like 25 but you might have to slip wrench in to keep nut on end of rubber boot from spinning.

Be careful, caliper might not going back that easy on top of new brakes! I spent whole day and had to buy 3! sets of breaks when I decided to watch another education video. Then I realized everybody else taking 2nd bolt and entire caliper off too! Then you can easily place caliper back after you install new brakes. I had to do it for right wheel, the left one was fine, I was able to install new brake pads as described in this video (1 bolt off + wire to hold the caliper in open position).

Thank you for your interest and info. If you’re having trouble fitting the caliper onto the new pads, the caliper piston might need to be depressed more. With the caliper rotated upward and held with safety wire, use a C-clamp and old brake pad to compress the piston back fully into its bore.

Its really the c clamp.and pushing the caliper ba k in that gives you room to add the new pads. You should also check theickness of the rotor to see if you need new ones.
