I own an old 021. Last year I overhauled it including a new sprocket. I put it away without cutting anything. I tried it last weekend, It starts and runs fine, It cuts fine, it oils ok, but it seems like the chain stops easier than it should in a cut. It's been a couple of years since I did any cutting so I don't remember for sure how it used to be. Can you suggest any cause/fixes for this or if it's even a problem? Thanks

if you not a piston stop, you can use a impact wrench ! or simply a bootlace ... but it's not recommanded to ecrase à piston

you could put a pice of rope it it but make sure some is sticking out or u will need to open the saw up completely
