Thanks for posting and sharing. I just replaced these pieces and solved the "hard shift" issue on my 04 chevy impala because the pieces were 10 years old, but one of the brace bushings had cracked and allow the torque to be felt more than usual when shifting in the low gears. Once you put them on you can hardly feel the engine and the shifting is so much smoother. thanks again. Someone spent $4k on a transmission and still had this issue. A quick fix for less than $200.00 and about 30 minutes of your time.

I replaced all mounts on my 2010 Impala, but it seems to kick/jerk when i shift from parking to reverse, at times it kicks pretty hard, anyone knows what it could be? A transmission solenoid maybe?

I know I’m super late, but there’s a handful of videos up (TRQ has a decent one, but they don’t really explain how to jack up the engine well). I used a video where he places the front subframe on jackstands, remove a cover from your wheel well by first removing three plastic screw push pin body clips (You cannot apply any pressure in order to unscrew). Locate and loosen two 15 milliliter nuts going from the passenger frame, into the lower motor Mount. Remove two 15 millimeter nuts from the top of the bracket of the lower motor Mount, jack up engine from the bottom of oil pan (not your transmission pan that would be bad), remove the bracket from the motor Mount to easily remove it, slide in new part with space and bolt the bracket onto your new part, drop it in the holes and slowly lower your jack. I had to use a big pry bar to slide my engine back 1/8 of an inch to slide in its kinda tricky. But I did both my lower motor mount and transmission mount in less than 3 ish hours today after work, so not too bad of a day I’d say. Cheers man hope your car is well 🫡

Take the coil pack off its right above the spark plugs it makes it alot easier especially if there stuck pretty good then put grease around the plug before you put them back in so it can be easy to change next time

Yes, remove large black rubber hose that goes to brake booster. Remove from the manifold, and mark plug wires and then remove 4 10mm bolts so you can move ignition pack out of the way. As others have said, use Q-TIP to coat inside of plug boot with silicone grease, so easier to remove next time. If boot is stuck, try rotating it a bit before pulling.

I’m having real problems with work done on my 06 impala LT The person I cannot call him a mechanic any more .. what he has done is beyond getting over he just don’t give a darn . I sent my vehicle in for an engine replacement period rod and gasket gone this was he was to do . The first time (yeah) my car was gone a month and half . This was very hard on me and my health it was some of the hottest days we’ve had and on top of it all I’m homeless and I was living in an abandon car everywhere I went I had to walk now I’m chronic care my meds warms me of prolong sun I would burn well it was tru ankles face nose and one thigh all have been crisp o le and I’m not joking it was painful .. I am finally told my car would be done that Friday I’m super excited Friday comes and nothing no call nothing then I get it will be another week I started to cry and I lost it . I got the number and I called I wasn’t walking one more day I get my car back sooner that Monday I’m all smiles I crank up the car and it’s super quiet I’m like yes !! I ask for the mechanic he was not there I thought odd . Thought nothing more drive off it was amazing I had my car . One hour I noticed the check engine light was on I thought maybe they forgot to rest No....,,, now stay with me I’m going to go fast Two hours after car pick up engine starts to make noise that evening car starts to run ruff it’s now making light faint noise like it did before check oil it’s super low add one quart go to firework show in way home midnight 30 mins from home car make loud noise and is shaking turn. Decided to take street turn corner car stops running call Aaa take care home call man explain what happened . That morning I go out to look at car lift up hood all I saw was my old engine I checked oil first time I did it was ckear next day it was full of water and it had a gel like substance with gold beads in the top part of radiator I send car bac it takes him 3 weeks and some days k I ask where engine come from it looked like he didn’t do anything to my car well I now have it again and I don’t believe he has done anything right to say the least the engine is to small it has trouble pulling the car it cu off on me while turning power steering is leaking now wires are exposed lights come in when I close the door not ope them turn signal cuts on brights and it’s running hot. Oh they were driving my car I don’t know where but I have over three hundred miles in my car extra I don’t know what more to do I know it’s only a matter of time before my once perfect car goes out I don’t trust this man they have stolen driven my car half fixed and left me to chance can a car have a four cyclinder install and it works when your car is a v6 he didn’t even have the caps to the motor like oil ect he used my old top and wrong size caps how do I check to see if he traded out my new battery with a old one I need help please I have no money to do anything more
