What if it says “Maintenance cover open” but it’s shut? Is there a connection that could be loose?

This is definitely an issue with the printer, I'm afraid. I'd suggest looking close at the door hinge, confirm that the door close sensor is being depressed. Otherwise, repairs will unfortunately be needed.

@@InkOwldotcom sorry to bother you, since p800 manual says you should turn off printer before removing the tank, should i? turn off printer remove not finished tank (tank A) reset not finished tank (tank A) insert tank B turn on printer, and wait for it to detect turn off printer remove tank B insert tank A (the resetted one) turn on printer should i turn off and turn on printer as i said? or all changes with printer on? i ask because manual says turn off printer before removing it. thank you so much, i really appreciate all your effort you do for all printer users
